if you look at the ford install instructions it says to do it that way. Also shows how to realign the front sensors.

What about the lower areas on either side of the hood? they come straight forward then turn in at the very front. I would interested and seeing that w/ the valley.

on mine I had to enable them with forscan and change the theme to raptor for them to show up. now they are there and work just fine.

two things you could do to increase the internal size are: 1 make the back side out of fiberglass and attach the top to it 2 put synthetic stuffing(like batting or pillow stuffing) inside. it make the enclosure act like a larger one.
