The Maverick will be available with a Hybrid AWD drive train soon. Ford hasn't officially announced but test mules have been spotted. That, IMO, would be the one to buy. You can get the maverick with the max tow package that gets you 4000 pounds. If the hybrid AWD maverick can be configured...
I love my swingcases. Store all my recovery gear, ratchet straps, tools, etc. in them. Nice to have all that stuff with me all the time and out of the way.
Great price guys. I used my ford points on the ford branded ones and I think they were around $300 each.
The 6g tremor with the v6 is the only configuration i would be interested in. Still no official word from ford on the tremor coming back but many think it will be available for the 2025 model year.

That 3.5 in the previous gen tacoma was a dog driving around the midwest, i can only imagine its poor performance at elevation in the mountains. My guess the new taco with the turbo 4 is much better.
When i was shopping midsize trucks last august i had heard prices would be going up by $5000 on the upcoming ranger and tacoma. The GM twins were redesigned for 2023 and they were priced $5000 more the the last gen. Its one of the reasons i jumped on the 2023 ranger tremor.
Interesting thread with good feedback. Below are the specs for the OP's friend's rig. The diesel may get better towing numbers to the ranger but I think we would be talking 2-4 mpg better.

EPA MPG Diesel 24 combined city/highway MPG 21 city 28 highway 4.2 gals/100 miles
I really like mine. Small complaint, the lid locks in the middle. Wish there was a mechanism to lock the ends of the lids. My box on the passenger side had the lid not closed all the way. Most likely from me keeping my recovery gear in there and too much weight; but locking mechanisms on the...
Moved my daughter into her apartment at college for her junior year. She was in the dorm her freshman year and first semester of her sophomore year. She studied abroad in Italy this spring. She stayed with me the last 2 summers. My son has been in his apartment since his sophomore year. I'm...
Front receiver. Plan is to put a winch in a craddle and be able to run it from the front or rear. Id love to permanately mount in the front but are illinois winters are really rough on equipment due ro all the salt.
Ive actually graduated to Vim. These young guys cant figure me out. Kinda funny watching their expressions when i whip out some sed and awk. IBM used to provide alot of support for mcdonnell douglas and then boeing back in the day. Infrastructure was solid back then. Miss those days.
Who knew the ranger5g forum was full of software nerds. 28 years here, first 3 years served as a developer, then team lead for 10 and have been an architect for the remaining years. All the older guys are like me, full stack developers just doing what needs done. I've done DBA work in Oracle...
