@underwhelmed since you bought your truck used, does it have the OEM Halogen headlights? Is that box plugged in-between the headlight and the main harness? Where does that green wire go? Do you have any extra aftermarket lights on the front of the truck?
I know it's a lot of questions, but as...
We are talking a matter of semantics here.
I and most people could care less if the sensors are powered all the time. Their not doing anything 99% of the time anyway. Another one of those phantom power draws.
When I push the button I basically turn the parking sensor system OFF. The system is...
From the picture it doesn't look like they are blocked, but. The sensors actually have a cone shaped detection zone. That lower bar may be just in the cone of the inner front sensors.
@Msfitoy that button on the center console is not an alarm cancel button. It turns OFF the parking sensors...
I agree with you 100%. I will always take a drive thru spot if available. The issue is many of the parking lots have gone to angled parking with one way aisles. Probably because it lets them have narrower aisles, park more cars. Does not allow backing in. Also IF you even can pull thru you are...
Obviously you didn't have to put your truck in reverse in that time. If I leave my tailgate down as soon as I put it in reverse my rear parking sensors go off and my backup camera is looking at my rear bumper.
If I need to carry anything with the tailgate down, I need to turn off my parking...
As has been noted, no known Forscan fix to get it to stay up. There does appear to be a time out for it to reset.
I use it every time I tow my camper to lockout 9th and 10th gear.
I do have a PID for Torque Pro to show the gear on my phone. So it's not really a big deal for me. I keep it up...
This has been a quest since the ranger came back in 2019. Hasn't been solved yet.
Also, notice the note at the bottom of the list of options. The ranger does not add any flashes when a trailer is connected. I suspect for some reason Ford decided to hard code the three flashes into the rangers...
I pick most of them up at thrift stores for $1 to $3 per disc. I'm cheap!
I collect mostly 70s, 80s and 90s artists along with some newer country. I have ripped some LPs if I find some clean vinyl. I am 72 after all, so I collect my music.
We have a group of people over after church Sunday and make a party of it. I have 3 cutters, we take turns cutting, salting and pounding. Then there will be strange smells coming from my garage for a few weeks while it works. Oh, but it tastes good when it's done and and cooked up with the pork...
I have a chip with some 8000 tracks and counting on it. I have it set to random. Like @airline tech if a song comes up I'm not in the mood for I hit the next track button on the steering wheel and move on.
I also have not used voice search much at all. Having to remember the correct syntax and...
Picked up 40 heads of cabbage and 8 squash today. Pretty much filled the bed. This weekend we are making sour kraut for our church fall German Dinner next month. Takes 5 weeks to work. We are delivering the squash to another members house for them to prepare. We usually serve about 300 people.
OK, I'm assuming, I know a dangerous thing, your STX has the halgen taillights. So no blind spot detection or cross traffic detection. Those two things, if you have them, are turned off, or modified, when a trailer is detected. Also, rear parking sensors, again if you have them, are turned off...
You do have the tow/haul mode. It is the button on the lower left that looks like a trailer. All Rangers have it. It also looks like you are lucky and have a Ranger without ASS. Look
Agree with all your comments on social media and most of all, your last one about our parents.
I was recently thanked by my 40 year old son for being strict and teaching him to think for himself and make his own decisions based on all the facts, hard to find these days. The best thing we can...
Not a problem! It took me 4 hours to get the griie out till I figured out about drilling the hole. It's about an 1/8 inch hole in the center of the socket for the tab. I kept pushing down on the tab till I thought I would break them. Drilled the holes and used a nail to push the tab down and out...
Yes, the install is the same as the Morimoto lights. The physical is the same as any headlight swap in the Ranger. The wiring is the same as the Morimoto lights.
The biggest issue was getting the bottom tabs loose on the grille. What worked for me was drilling a small hole in the top of the...
