The box is already torn down and taken to the recycling bin. The box had enough brown paper padding to fill a 30 gallon trash bag! Hopefully I get to install it tomorrow....maybe take some pics and step-by-step of the installation.
As a side note, I also received my exhaust grommet pliers in...
AWE Crawler exhaust. :) Man that box was huge. Opened it up, and there it was! And there was my wife..."What's that? How much was that?"
"I traded some stuff for it."
:)
I like a little noise. I had a mini cooper JCW clubman with the JCW exhaust, and it was loud, gurgled, cracked, and popped, loudly, a lot. It was amazingly annoying. My wife always knew when I got home. :)
Does anybody here know the part number or a source for the factory heated seat switches? I have the two spaces for the switches, and I'd like to install the heated pads, but only if I can have the factory buttons on the dash.
Very nice! Welcome to the NuCamp family. They were, by far, the best quality camp trailers we could find. We bought the '21 Tab 400 Boondock back in July, and my wife and I finally got to see the Avia in person last weekend. I think you're really going to enjoy it!
I actually went with the chrome tip. I want to see how the one accent point looks, and if it is too bad, I can duracoat them a dark gloss grey like the magnetic color.
Today I removed and replaced the goofy SPORT 4X4 decals from the bed sides. I think these look a little better... a little more subdued.... a little more stealthy.
Thanks J J! I don't have the exhaust yet. I went with the AWE exhaust. In the videos it sounds pretty good without that Borla "ricey" sound. It will be here in a few days I hope. It would be GREAT if it were here by the weekend, but it hasn't shipped yet from Stage 3. Thank you for the...
The damper makes for a nice controlled drop, preventing my pet rabid wolverines from escaping too quickly, but I understand that some folks aren't strong enough to lift and close the Ranger tailgate with the extra resistance of the damper.
Olive Oyl is like that hot crackhead chick...
Has anybody here installed a cat-back exhaust with no lift? I don't have access to a lift and will be doing this by myself, and was wondering how much of an undertaking (no pun intended!) this will be.
I sort of like it. It looks very post-apocalyptic and well thought out, unlike all the trucks I see running around with all of these square or rectangular LED lights bolted on here and there. ?
I'm going to go watch Escape from L.A. now.
I loved the write-up, Edsel! I watched the videos on the grill install 3 times before I did it. I would change one step on the installation, though, and that putting the lower shield in BEFORE the grill goes on. It only needed to come off to remove the bottom latches. After the factory grill...
I'm quite sure the AFE scoop doesn't do a whole lot for performance, but I'm confident that it compounds upon the other small improvements we do overall. Plus, the red looks pretty dang good with the hood open. It pretty much matches the red battery cover. ?
