  1. HOWTO: rear shock install

That's correct! Now I know. I don't mind the time I spent, it's not a big deal. Loving the new ride! Very much looking forward to setting up my trailer ?
  2. HOWTO: rear shock install

I didn't know if the new truck would have lousy rear shocks as well. And I had kept the OEM shocks so I just gave 'em back!
  3. HOWTO: rear shock install

What is R&R? Anyways the swap is easy and if you have read the posts in this thread you see that the upgrade was well worth it. It's hard to tell from a short test drive how the truck will handle with a 6000lb trailer and so this particular upgrade made a big difference, particularly under load.
  4. HOWTO: rear shock install

    Good guess!
  5. HOWTO: rear shock install

    What is EO?
  6. HOWTO: rear shock install

So far the 2024 Ranger feels à bit firmer and more planted than my 2022. I have put about 100kms on the new truck. I put about 75,000kms on the Bilsteins, so not sure if I'll need them. Both trucks have the FX4 option.
  7. HOWTO: rear shock install

So I'm switching out of my 2022 to a 2024 which means take out my Bilsteins and reinstall the original Ford shocks. It would have been fun except it is the dead of winter so I had to bring the truck inside overnight and set some fans on the undercarriage to dry things out. It was still messy...

Haha, I discuss investments not expenditures ? I'm happy for all the Members who can buy cool stuff!
  9. Strange part found on Garage Floor

I honestly don't care if either of my daughters ding any of my cars. The daughter who dinged this mirror admitted it without hesitation cuz I don't freak out. You should see my 2011 X5 they started driving in! Lots of great "lessons" all around! I lost a sister in a car accident 30 years ago...
  10. Strange part found on Garage Floor

My Ranger is a family workhorse, not something that I cling to. Now if you want to wear my running shoes, there will be a fight.
  11. Strange part found on Garage Floor

There is a rather tight garage opening in the condo parking. It is entirely my daughter's doing. See my other thread where she backed into something and broke the right tail light! ;)
  12. Strange part found on Garage Floor

@airline tech is one of those chaps who as a kid tore everything apart and put it back together...much to his mother's dismay and father's delight!
  13. Strange part found on Garage Floor

Nailed it - thank you so much for looking!!
  14. Strange part found on Garage Floor

Wow, that was quick! Bingo! One of my daughters has some splainin' to do!
  15. Strange part found on Garage Floor

  16. Strange part found on Garage Floor

    I had surmised as much.
  17. Strange part found on Garage Floor

Hi all! My daughter drives the Ranger to school 100 miles away and found this on the floor by the truck. Is it ours? I can't reverse search it....I'm assuming the part number is at the top i.e. KB3B-17E730-AA D665R Thank you!
  18. 3,500 Mile Comparison: Taco v Ranger

I don't even care which truck you prefer, this is some great, great writing!
  19. Tesla X backed into Truckie today

It was suggested to me that the Tesla may even cost more to fix...the battery being tored in the back end may be damaged and all the little sensors that she ignored as well... I guess I am lucky (!) that it wasn't the front door and the air bag didn't deploy!
