It seems nobody sells positive offset wheels anymore for the Ranger. Method used to, but now I don't see any listed.
Also just thinking about Raptor Ranger take-offs. A place here in Texas has them brand new zero miles with factory K03 tires 285/75-17 for $2800. Not my favorites..... but...
2023 Ford Ranger. Readylift intrusion beams. Fox coilovers in front (leveled). OME 1.7in lift leafs in rear with fox shocks.
Any concept of what tire size I can get away with without rubbing? I do go off-roading. I'm a diehard MT Baja Boss AT tire fan, currently running those on the stock...
This year I towed a 16ft camper trailer cross country over 4000mi round trip going to Burning Man. With my lift, tires, etc.... I was averaging 11mpg. Having to stop every 120 miles with the factory tank was an absolute NIGHTMARE for 4 days of driving each way, especially in some remote...
16ft camper trailer, approx. 4000lb loaded. It would sag the rear more than the front (when leveled out with no load). This should hopefully keep things more level along with a smoother ride when towing. I'll hook it up this week and test. My goal would be to adjust the coil-overs up front so...
Fox 2.0 coil overs so the front is raised/leveled. The OME are 1.7in lift so the rear is back higher again. That’s fine cause I tow a lot. Once I get my trailer connected and fully loaded I’ll level the front out (adjust the coil overs).
Even with the Fox rear shocks, I used to cringe anytime I saw a bump in the road cause I knew it was going to knock my teeth out.
Tossed on the ARB OME springs yesterday and it's a completely different truck. Actually rides smooth now, comfortable even! Feels like I bought a new truck.
I will say this, if I had to do it all over again? Save yourself a TON of money and just buy a low mile 2019-2022 front differential from the junkyard, they're like $400 from LQK. Have a local driveline shop install the locker on the bench, and install the wiring while you're still driving the...
The 2023 has the ring gear laser welded to the OEM open carrier case instead of bolted, correct. No conversion is required, as the locker comes with the new Eaton locking differential carrier case. Just bolt on a 2022 ring gear/pinion it's like $300. You gotta realign the thing anyways using...
The M190's weak link are the axles, and that's beautiful. If you're an idiot you'll snap an axle and still continue your day in 2WD. Cheap and easy fix. The M210 will self destruct internally before breaking an axle, and they do.
Something ALWAYS breaks, it's a matter of choosing what you want...
People that say the the Ranger front diff is "weaker" have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. The M190 is not weak there are zero reports of failure on any forum as it's also used in the Bronco. The M210 on the other hand? They break so much Ford has constant parts backorders.
Yep, the Eaton front e-locker is an OEM part, from what I was told by Ford it's the same locker that's on the Ranger Raptor. It's not a new item, it's actually been out for nearly 10 years in Australia, but it's "new" to the USA market.
It's a rim and tire company here in Texas that deals with OEM rims, I'll call them tomorrow and see what they can do about putting 285/70R17s on them instead at the same price. Doesn't hurt to ask.
I have a chance to get some like new Roush Iridium Gray rims with some like new KO2 LT315/70R17 tires with trade in of mine for like $1500. My Ranger currently has a Fox 2.0 coilover kit, leveled out. It also has ReadyLIFT intrusion beams. The rims are the stock 18in "splash" rims with Mickey...
It's a front locker, it locks lol. Haven't had a good chance to really test it out yet but it's nice to have a real truck with full lockers now. I wish Ford would offer it on the FX4 and not just the Raptor, it's an OEM part from Eaton that drops right in. God forbid the Ranger threatens...
I like those safety features about the factory TBC, and if it'll work after I retrofit my non-tow package XLT with the OEM tow package tail light harness as the prerequisite I'm all for it.
I'm wanting to tow a small 16ft camper trailer with my 2023 XLT, an Xplorer 165X. It did not come with the factory tow package. I have since installed a Class 3 curt hitch, but I'm still 4 pin only. To make things nice and OEM I ordered the factory 4/7 pin wiring harness (KB3Z-15K868-D) and...
Yeah. It's why I tend to stay off forums and groups. It's just a bunch of people that have no idea what they're talking about, repeating endless lies from the hivemind.
