  1. Bed Lights

Didn't know what this was, had to look it up. Super cool idea. I might be interested in going this route instead of drilling the bed for the OEM option. Thanks!
  2. Bed Lights

Just tested it myself. I can confirm that putting the key in the ignition, and turning it to Accessory, does re-activate the circuit without starting the engine. Even after taking the key out it stayed active (probably starting another 2 hour countdown).
  3. Livernois Tuning released

Except that the transmission re-learn can take several hundred (maybe up to 500) miles to adjust properly after you switch to a new tune. You'll run through a tank of 93 before that happens. Livernois suggested swapping tunes about a week before you anticipate needing to use it (like in the case...
  4. Bed Lights

What about after the 2-hour timer shutoff? Do you have to cycle the ignition again? Or can you just flip the key to accessory and it will work again? if so, that's not a huge deal to just stick the key in. But I don't want to have to start the engine again just for lighting...
  5. Bed Lights

Sorry to revive a month old thread. But I did some testing and wanted to share. I checked out the 12v bed plug mentioned by MT19RANGER. I was hoping that the plug would be active once you unlock the truck with the key fob, but no such luck. I wanted an easier wiring point than running a cable to...
  6. Livernois Tuning released

Oh and they do have a C.A.R.B. approved tune with a government approved EO number. In case anyone lives in a state where that's required. The caveats are: 1. You have to tell them up front that you want the C.A.R.B. tune when requesting through email - and once they program the Tuner for that...
  7. Livernois Tuning released

To echo what @Frency said - Livernois recommends that you use their towing tune when going offroad (or flashing back to stock if you prefer that). Do not tow or go offroad with the performance tune. Also when I called them and talked to a technician, he said the biggest difference in the...
  8. Livernois Tuning released

No one can make the decision for you if the cost will be worth it or not based on your situation. But from all the customer feedback I've read here (and other sites) everyone who installs the tune says it's a night-and-day difference over the stock tune. And people who return to stock are often...
  9. Livernois Tuning released

Preface: I'm still waiting on my tuner to arrive, so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. These answers are just based on my research and reading through all 45 pages of this thread. Not based on personal experience with the tune - yet. 1. A tune on any vehicle isn't necessarily...
  10. Phone mount suggestions? Products, and placement in the truck?

Here's my solution for other's that have an iPhone. I wanted a solution that utilized the MagSafe feature of the new generation of iPhones instead of a clamp or an elaborate arm. I bought a mount on amazon that would hold the phone as high as possible away from blocking the vent. Mount Link...
  11. Wireless Apple Carplay

I just wanted to clarify a couple of things for other people also doing research into the CPlay2Air adapter. The adapter uses Bluetooth to make the initial connection to your phone for pairing purposes. After the first pairing however, it switches over to Wi-Fi for the main transmission...
  12. Livernois Tuning released

Yeah that's what I meant, the Black Friday sale was the $100 off. Awesome news!
  13. Livernois Tuning released

FYI for those waiting - I just called Livernois this morning to check on my order. As others have stated in this thread, the Black Friday sales were very good for business and they quickly ran out of tuners. They expect a new batch on the 17th and will start fulfilling backorders then. Unlikely...
  14. Ford Officially Releases Sync 3 v3.4 Build 20282

Why wouldn't you just wait until it officially releases from Ford in (potentially) a few days? Just curious why you would need to go the CyanLabs route.
  15. Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

Awesome, thanks for flagging it here too. Will be watching intently over the next few days to see if it updates on the Ford owner site... :inspect:
  16. Livernois Tuning released

Yep, I'm in the same boat. I ordered on Nov 28th, and in a few days it will be 2 calendar weeks. No shipping notification. No communication about a delay. Nothing. Not off to a great start...
  17. Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

Still waiting. Someone mentioned that 3.4 might be available by the end of the month for 2019 Rangers. If not, I might just have to go download Syn3 Updater....
  18. Led Headlight bulbs

Awesome. I added a bulb to the first page.
  19. Led Headlight bulbs

In case anyone was interested on what the "guts" look like on these. I'm sure most of these are made with the same internal components from the same Chinese factories.
  20. Led Headlight bulbs

Not on the high beams we don’t. Doesn’t seem to be a length issue as much as a girth issue with the base of the bulb shank.
