wetidlerjr,
just wonder what led to ford making Syn Blend the factory recommended oil vs full Syn... In volume purchases the cost is fairly minimal. Something led Ford to believe that full syn wasn't worth a little more than syn blend. Wonder if the Maverick runs Syn Blend as well...
What is with the ford manual recommending "Synthetic Blend" vs full synthetic? I mean I get it, they are the manufacturer and in theory should know what they are doing. Most turbocharged cars run a full synthetic although both are based on conventional oil and what makes them "synthetic" are the...
I ordered a 2023 Ranger XL crew cab on 8/10/2023 and was locked in at the order (sticker) price of $28,320... By the time it was produced in early Dec the sticker was up to $29,320......... Only option I ordered was the $495 trailer tow package.
For 2024 you can't order supercabs anymore and I...
4 almost new TPMS sensors that came off my 2023 Ranger XL that I took delivery of January 29th and pulled the wheels off 3 weeks later at 724 miles to put on 17" Bronco alloys. These are just about as factory fresh as you can get. These are about $55 each from the online Ford discount parts...
I took these off at 724 miles and just sold the tires locally yesterday. Cheap way to get a 2nd set of factory wheels if you want snow tires mounted in the winter or different wheels for off roading. Searched online and prices "vary" so how about $65 per wheel without the TPMS sensor or $95 per...
Mystery solved, stopped by the Waste Mgmt scales today, truck weighs 4139 lbs with 7/8 of a tank of gas, my Real Truck TonnoPro tonneau cover (maybe 15 lbs tops), and a 7'ish lb Dee Zee bumper step. Using the 2 stickers on the drivers door jamb (GVWR 6050 - max cargo/occupants 1893 = 4157 lbs)...
A few updates, Amazon's "partner" was Pep Boys for installation at the Amazon negotiated price of $80 installed plus tax (good deal) but Manny/Moe/Jack were a disaster. Had received multiple updates from Amazon confirming the tires had been delivered and several updates and text confirming the...
I just went through wheel/tire selection, not sure if you have stock steel 16" wheels or 17" alloys but I opted to buy a set of 5 2022 Bronco Big Bend 17x7.5 wheels and 32" tires with under 5k miles on them very affordably then swapped the 32" tires out with new 30" (to keep the diameter same as...
Finally got the Amazon tires installed today so this is the final look with the Big Bend alloys and 255/65/75 tires. The carbonized gray wheels look better in the sun. I need to pull one off to get the new weight with the highway all season tires.
If anyone in WA state or elsewhere needs...
Mine has the tow package so I'm sure that adds 50'ish lbs. My previous truck was a 2015 Tacoma 4 cyl with 4 spd automatic that supposedly weighed 3645 or about 500 lbs less than the Ranger. Sure the 10 spd tranny and maybe heavier frame are part of the Ranger weighing more but on the other hand...
Surprisingly the owners manual doesn't state what a 2wd SuperCab (or any other Ranger) weighs empty, it refers you to the B pillar stickers that came with the truck.
My "tire and loading information" sticker states "combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1893 lbs". The...
Related rant, the online Ford Accessories site gets a D-. I ordered a impact bed/tailgate liner and seat covers in early December. They showed up a week later and I noticed there was damage to the liner box and it had been retaped (5 foot x 1.5 x 1.5 so big box). I open it a few weeks later...
I would say the seats are cooler than warmer, the description talks about gel inserts but overall they are very comfortable, fit well, doesn't make the seat too slick due to the gel/pattern up the middle.
I love the look of the 17x8" Badlands Bronco wheels in carbonized gray with the machined finish, the 17x7.5 Big Bends would look better if they had a silver accent on them like that. I found several sets of the 18" Bronco Outer Banks wheels/tires but think 18" wheels are a little on the big side.
Ordered a base XL ranger which came with the stock 16x7 steel wheels and 255/70/16 tires. A week later found a set of 17x8 alloys with tires off a 2019 XLT Ranger, nice look and better than the steel wheels but wasn't thrilled about the more aggressive All Terrain tires (the XLT was a 4x4)...
Weathertech makes a really NICE tailgate cover that is a bit plasticy which is nice so stuff can slide on it unlike rubber. Uses the factory bolts/screws and even comes with the torx head as part of the bedliner/tailgate cover kit. I ordered both but think they sell them separately and the torx...
Like new set of 5 Bridgestone Dueler 32" 255/75/17 All Terrain tires off a 2022 Ford Bronco. The tires had less than 5k miles and all have 10/32 of the 11/32 tread remaining, 2 have date codes 1st week of 2022 and 2 have date codes 2nd week of 2022. The spare has never been on the road and has a...
