Not entirely true. The 2019 to 2021 rangers have a different exhaust manifold and a different turbo design. Hence why exhaust for earlier model years are not compatible.

I'm guessing that it was carried over from the T6 rangers which are diesels. Probably saves time and money being able to copy a bunch of pages rather than create a new manual from scratch.
