Thank you...That's how I though they were to be installed. Just made a 865 mile drive to Tucson without them and the cover did great! Great quality and rather simple install. I'Il install the rears when I get back home.
Do you have a pic of how you mounted the brackets in the rear? The fronts were easy and support the underside of the rail, however I can’t figure out how the rears work. I do see the holes, just unsure of how to mount them ...Thanks
Bingo...He does have the NAV on the Lariat. In addition the file on my USB was for my vin, I forgot about that part. He will need to go to the Ford site, enter his vin and DL the correct file...He is currently running 3.3.
Installed 20282 last week via a USB drive. No issues, all went smoooooth... I tried to install the same file on my friends 2019 Lariat and he recived a "Not comaptable with this software error?"
Just be aware that $1,199 kit your looking at from 5 star is not the same as the Ford/Fox kit. They are valved differently, adjustable and have less number of coils. Not saying they are worse or better, just pointing this out...Best of luck with your decision.
Finished installing the Ford /Fox 2.0 kit. Big KUDOS to runner69 for the help, although he did most of of the work "Ford Master Guru"....;). Total time was 2.5 hours, I had already done the rears. We also installed his Mishimoto catch can afterwards, that project led to a few new nasty words...
Always a delima with a shortbed. I tried using a tailgate pad but the newer Treks have a Knockblock feature that prevents the forks from turing all the way to the side. Bike just kept flopping around with the pad, so I went back to my Thule XT, SOLID as a rock!!
There are various one time use nuts that will need to be replaced. Not sure if your kit comes with them or not. I'm currently researching this my self.
For you folks who installed your kits, did you replace the one time use nuts for the axle, struts, etc, if not where did you source the new nuts....I know the Fox 2.0 kits come with all the new hardware which is a bonus. I have not checked dealer pricing as it’s usually outrageous...
