Welcome!!! Every time I open this board it costs me at least $1$$$$ stupid internet ....so many great ideas! Oh don’t forget the ignition ring if you have a key ignition - the little trim ring ford forgot $10 mod to get you going ??. It’s the cheapest one out there maybe then the start stop...
Went with the Putco one -- so far not impressed, took 6 days to ship and when I got it I found small bare spots in the middle of course on the front side.... we'll see how they handle that. yes I know I could touch it up probably but why should I? its new right out of the box. Im considering...
hey quick stupid question because the install instructions suck.....
is the "Putc" logo in the lower corner visible? is that the side that goes to the front? I finally got mine and of course there are a couple sloppy spots on the powder coat on the logo side. Im hoping that side goes inward...
Thanks! I thought it would be easy but hadn't gotten around to trying to figure it out yet. today is try to install the Putco lower grill insert day - its finally here! thanks again.
I will - as soon as I figure out how...... I haven't done the PM thing yet---newbie here.......... are the prices the same as one line? --- I took a look and the cost was much less than my local dealer - they do straight up MSRP but the shipping was insane - $53 to get the engine cover kit...
Hi, I just found this thread,
how do I get in touch to get a quote for items - Im looking for the engine cover kit (I have an XLT) maybe the missing middle tie downs and a couple other things. thanks!
how do you spend the rewards points?? my dealer doesn't accept them for parts. I did look at Levittown and the prices are great BUT the shipping is crazy expensive.
I was going to order the engine cover kit $98 for all pieces which is a good deal but the shipping to TX was $54 so that pretty...
Decided on the Putco one -originally supposed to be a 2-5 day ship time but I haven't heard anything since the order receipt and charging my card 8 days ago Im still waiting for it, I called today and they said the grills are custom made in Iowa and sent out of house in batches to powder...
are the ranger drain pans easy to strip out? I saw someone had posted 20 ft lb for torque - Ive always just used a short wrench and snugged it up pretty good but this aluminum engine has me a little worried. --- I stripped a spark plug once, that was not fun.
agreed -- I shop based only on price and trade value (which I research extensively first) and will generally finance through my credit union so there are no back office add ons- I am blessed at this point in life to have excellent credit so I don't need to worry about that anymore --- . You...
you would think ford would make it that way- reusable, but I do remember having Hondas that recommended changing drain plug washers, they were less than a dollar each so I would ..... sometimes. never had an issue. I am considering changing my own on the ranger because the more I drive it, the...
I will not buy a car if I can't shut it off --- I just hate it. parking the truck, it would shut off and restart in the second it took to stop and shift from D to P...... stupid......
try this thing - it works and works well. I was kind of hoping they would get rid of this -- I wish I knew...
When I first purchased the truck I tried to live with it to see if I could get used to it and I just can't - its distracting and annoying as hell. I kept forgetting to push that button --- this 'feature' needs to go away!!!!!!
------there are a lot of threads on this with a lot of ideas
what...
I just installed this the other day, easy! about 20 minutes total --- its easy if you use a lug wrench to remove the bolts, those 4 way ones usually have a 21 mm side and give you plenty of leverage--- most of us already have one. I did get a new torque wrench to get the bolts back to 146 ft...
Phil, you need your own forum!!!
thanks for all the great information!!!! - seriously, love the stories and insider stuff........
I say buy the truck you want when you need it-- -if you need truck now - a 2020 or even a 19 if you can find one still is a great buy but if you can wait and...
it would be nice to have - keep stuff from slinging up on the truck. I want to add a set of rear ones also may be the husky ones, I haven't decided yet but its on the list.
