  1. SICK OF ACRONYMS

Roger that Mark. As a not-young man myself I respect that perspective. I don't agree with it as I'm thankful for folks taking their time to share lessons learned so that I can save money without using a real mechanic. However, I respect your perspective. STFU and GFYS :)
  2. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Colo_Ranger, First of all, gorgeous truck. For you and the group... I recommend Tailwind for your garage doors. It's a garage door opener add-on in which you put a small transceiver puck in your vehicle and it automatically opens and closes your garage door when you drive up or leave. I...
  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Replaced Cabin Air Filter. Pretty much standard Ford procedure behind the glovebox, under 3 minutes. Bought the truck last month and the engine air filter was new. Should've bought one on Amazon for half price with a fancy scent, but opted for locally purchased CarQuest Premium. RLTW.
  4. SICK OF ACRONYMS

Not to be a dick, but why don't you just Google them? It's not hard to enter XXX Ford acronym and then read. If you threw a few in here that are puzzling you, I'm sure the good folks on this forum would help you out, but you are persistently demanding someone create an acronym list for you...
  5. Just bought used at 34,000 miles.

Totally replace the spark plugs ($48 or $100) and add the Ford engine cover ($200). Plug cost dependsbon going stock or FP's colder version.
  6. 2.3L EcoBoost SP-594 Spark Plug Change Write-Up (60k Miles)

For the group: Is the general consensus that Ford Performance Spark Plug M-12405-20T (and identical Denso (5341) ITV24 ) are optimal for a 2.3L Ford Performance tuned engine on a Ranger? I just changed my 53k plugs out with SP-594 but I'm not opposed to running a different plug. I've checked a...
  7. 2.3L EcoBoost SP-594 Spark Plug Change Write-Up (60k Miles)

I did mine at 53K miles. Of the probably 20 vehicles I changed spark plugs on, these were among the least bad. Definitely approaching time to swap them out and for under $50, it was well worth it. I didn't have any rust issues like others have noted but did get the OEM foam engine cover in...
  8. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

I installed the Ford Performance tune yesterday. The ProCal box i got was glitchy and ran into problems saving my stock configuration. The screen would start jittering and look like a matrix screen before it cancelled the procedure. I called the help line and emailed Will with pictures...
  9. How will a 1.5" Level Effect The Ride?

Not a Tremor owner, just an XLT guy but my 2" level made the ride much better and the cornering turned out wayyy better. I had to adjust the adaptive cruise control radar, headlights, fog lights and the alignment (toe) was way off. Again, not a Tremor owner but to me it's a notable improvement...
  10. 5280Ranger Build

I'm not going to bullshit you, man. That truck is a work of art. Incredibly well done. Wow. -K
  11. Using 265/65/17 or 255/70/17 on a 19' Sport XLT 4x4 Non FX4

1). Just buy an adaptor and download Forscan and get a free 2 month license. Change the tire size in mm and go from there. It's really really easy to do and there are dozens of threads on it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VQVD3F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title OBDLink EX FORScan OBD...
  12. Where’s your dog?

Wow, this is a great thread. Here's one of my stepson in Garfield (21 XLT, Cyber Orange SCAB). He loves rides. My actual child is my avatar, but she gets car sick.
  13. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

ReadyLIFT high clearance crash bars installed, no issues. I cut the back because I have the aftermarket fender flares I'd prefer not to remove, but removed the bumper for the front and replaced the broken clips. BREAK Ford Performance tuned on order. Should be good for some low rpm...
  14. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

Acknowledge all. I've been casually looking at them and comparing options. Im pretty much done with the big stuff so that's in the queue. Sport mode is surprising not bad, but concur that a tune is in order. It will be done. I went with my buddy to test drive a 2024 with the twin turbo V6...
  15. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

Roger that, thanks Steve. I was thinking about it since transmission issues are peppered throughout here. I might as well bring it to the dealer and reference the service bulletin. The previous owner said he brought it in twice but it was returned with no action. Third time is a charm.
  16. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

Thanks Russ, Chuck, Steve and Doc. I'll definitely look into a trans flush and Fitzstick. In the meantime, I'll likely reset the TCM or whatever the adaptive trans setting is since the previous owner was 87 yrs old and I tend to drive as fast as humanly possible as much as I can. My...
  17. Intro Message - 2021 SuperCab 4x4, Cyber Orange, Louisville

Hi folks, Welcome note as follows: Been wrenching on Fords for 20+ years, recently retired and I picked up a 2021 XLT, 4x4 Supercab, Cyber Orange from California (shipped via on-line dealer purchase) in DEC 24. I have and have had quite a few Ford over the years, mostly carbed vehicles so I’m...
