  1. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I think pickup truck guys and bikers are cowboys at heart, smoky old pool rooms, little warm puppies, you know the song and the type. I picked up a guy in the local industrial park one time because it was starting to rain and he was hoofing it like he was in a hurry. Turns out it was his first...
  2. Lets see your sport package trucks

You have a cat under your truck.
  3. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

There you go, a Ford photo bombing 2 other Fords.
  4. HAM Radio Intalled

My dad was a ham back in the 70's, everything was Morse code. Anybody he made contact with they traded postcards with their call sign. I think CQ was a universal call sign for anybody that wanted to make a contact? I thought about getting into it now that I am retired. But cool install and glad...
  5. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Is that another Ford behind you?
  6. HAM Radio Intalled

Same thing Steven, want to know how long you stood there with the drill before you did the deed.:frown:
  7. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

I tried, looked easy on you tube but I messed it up and had to buy a replacement.
  8. Pulsing Brake Light

I would rather have the pulsing light then not, been riding bikes since I was 18 and have had my share of close calls. All 3 lights on the back of my bike pulse and serve as brake lights. Now for these idiots, you could have had a high school band out there playing the saints go marching in and...
  9. Pulsing Brake Light

Holy crap, that looks like something I would do, I call it hillbilly engineering and I am that hillbilly. On the safety side I would not mind my brakes flashing a bit , I converted my bike to all led and the brake flashes 3 times then goes solid and flashes again if the brake light stays on for...
  10. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

I got these side graphics, charcoal metallic to match the wheel well trim. 2nd set, got anxious and thought I could do them myself, I WAS WRONG. Now am waiting for a local guy to work me in and install.
  11. Problems/issues I have found

If it was that bad I would take it back and get a different one. My buddy had a problematic 350 Super duty and Ford took it back and gave him another one. I agree the layout for cup holders could have been better but it is a small truck so we should expect those things. Kinda of like someone...
  12. Lariat dash cluster settings

So we are all saying we have our personal preferences and would like to be able to customize to our liking. My 13 Fusion had climate on the right cluster and it was easier to change temp and fan with the steering wheel buttons.
  13. Lariat dash cluster settings

Got that Mike but the tach and gears in sport mode is really cool for me, I know the guys working with Forscan are changing the displays so maybe they will have something.
  14. Lariat dash cluster settings

Seems a shame to have all this data available but cannot see it all at once, the right side cluster is for me basically useless. I would like the tach and gears showing on the left all the time like it does in sport mode and the fuel mileage on the right along with the choice to have climate fan...
  15. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

So driving to Champaign and being retired and in no particular hurry I decided to take US 45 instead of I57. Just north of Mattoon I see a RP Lumber truck along side the road with a shifted load and I drive on by. But the driver was a young kid and looking very bewildered so my conscience and...
  16. Who got the B&O? And where are all the speakers?

It is a lot better than my $300 Craig Power Play that I had in my $150 1963 Fairlane. All kidding aside, the B&O sounds pretty good but my ears are not like they use to be, to much rock and roll all night cranked way up. By the way, still have my 45 year old Power Play speakers hooked up to a...
  17. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

    Next to my dad's 1950 8N.
  18. MPG is on the RISE

I filled up in Urbana last Friday, drove to Effingham, around 80 miles, ran 75, had a little head wind and wound up with 22.8 mpg according too the truck computer. Now a week later and still on that tank the average for that tank is down to 21.4. At 1023 miles total for the truck, it says 20.6...
  19. First to have...Ranger Stolen

To bad the cops did not stake it out and catch the low life's when they returned.
  20. Gap when Tailgate is Closed

I have a seal kit I received with my cover but still studying the best way to install, been studying for 3 weeks. I think the seal should be attached to the tailgate for the vertical and the bed for the horizontal, any thoughts? If you attach the vertical to the bed the cable rubs it.
