Are you saying we need the right angle adapter if we want to use one of the factory USB ports under Dirk's bracket? I'll be using AAwireless adapter on one port (once I get mine) and running dedicated power for the charging pad, but thinking ahead if I end up needing to use the other USB port...
I read they fixed that by bringing Bluetooth into the equation as well (if Bluetooth comes online in your vehicle and you are within range, then your phone will connect to the AA wireless wifi, and vice versa). I like how these guys constantly work to improve the product based on real world...
I always thought this is the ideal location...makes what should have been factory installed with the tow package look like it was factory installed. Do you have any pics of how you reworked the underside details of the console panel, cut or dremeled the rib supports etc? My dealer will be...
Copy that. No matter what option you pick, you're dealing with tradeoffs of various pros and cons so it's a matter of figuring out priorities and which ones you can live with. For me, I was set on the Leer bed cover after researching the various options. It seems to be on the higher end of the...
Thanks for the feedback! Some of these points were things I considered when opting for the Leer, and in particular the HF650M over the HF350M. I'm also thinking that the flush (between the rails) design of the 650 should keep more surface area available on top of the bedrails. I'm presently...
The fit sure looks good on these. Was it fairly straightforward? My Ranger comes in next month and I have these flares waiting to go on. Any tips or words of wisdom?
Wow you fit those with just a level? I have 295/70r17's coming to go along with with my Eibach Pro-Truck 3"/1" lift and thought that would be pushing it for front clearances with the fenderwell under articulation. Any issues so far??
Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I have backed the AA wireless project as of this morning. Hopefully it won't be too long before I get one.
Thanks for this. People have used it with Sync3? It says not available until June but I'm going to order one. Would you consider making a fully finished version of your tray like you posted with the bed paint for an appropriate upcharge?
I think it's really neat how you've put together something that looks factory (and should have came in the truck...it is 2021 after all). Is there a version of the CarlinKit 2.0 available for Android or a reliable equivalent that you know of? My truck won't be here until May but if there's an...
Ordered a bunch of parts for my truck that's scheduled to arrive next month...Fuel Shok, Nitto RG's, MBRP catback, Leer bed cover, Extang tailgate seal, Amp powersteps (for the wife and kids), RC bed mat, UC swing case, AVS vent visors, ratcheting cargo bar...to go along with previously ordered...
Yes, thanks. I was a contributing poster on the topic. By all accounts including my contact with Mountains2Metal there is supposed to be no issue with the ACC. I was just looking for some real world, non-vendor supplied feedback :)
Looking great! Congrats on a successful day, gotta enjoy those when you can. I think the black and white theme of your truck is looking more awesome with each project you've added.
Yes they have one with an opening for the ACC module. Apparently it's a much less friendly installation though, and I prefer the look of no opening. But if the M2M one doesn't work out I'll either cut an opening or go with the Putco.
M2M advertises it as being compatible with and without ACC. I ordered one as well so I'll find out for sure next month when my Lariat comes in. Feel free to post your results in the meantime though!
Any regrets pairing the Elevate setup with the Leer HF650M? I really want that same bed cover but haven't purchased yet, and don't want to make installing a rack system too difficult should I want to add one down the road (kayaks are likely in the future). I'm also not a fan of the tonneaus with...
Thanks for the reply! This is helpful for sure. I was set on the Leer hf650m. I like the design and apparent quality, and it is supposed to be pretty watertight without the requirement for drain tubes. I guess I may have to reconsider to find a solution that can integrate both, although not sure...
