Damn! That's down-right affordable! When I was working in the field I used my shop's rigid borescope that had a small external mirror for 90º views, and their flexible fiber optic borescope. Both were around $600 - $700.

Without controlling the flow to each cylinder individually might the W/M mixture accumulate in the manifold and send the occasional slug into a cylinder?
I was thinking the same. I think it will entail pulling the TB off to access the intake manifold. I haven't explored that yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll be doing it.

The EPA says that for every 100 pounds of weight reduction the fuel economy is increased by 1-2 percent. Does that mean the opposite is true? I don't know, but I installed a 50# Huracan tailgate storage unit and my average mileage hasn't budged (23.4mpg)

My guess is that even if the fan clutch control called for zero fan operation, there is still enough drag in the clutch itself that the fan would never come to a complete stop.
Hey, that's great! Was the fan operation just on/off, or could you feel it ramp up? I thought with a PWM there would be a gradual increase/decrease in speed and not just all or nothing.
Well, someone with a sensitive strain meter or digital fish scale could put it in place of the the hose bridge and actually take some readings to see EXACTLY how much shock it's subjected too. Hmm, time for a Amazon search...
I'm sure there's some relationship between the two; the OAD must limit some start-up shock to the fan clutch, but because that fan sensor "floats" on the shaft the shock it sees will be limited by the drag between the shaft and the sensor bearing. I think the overriding issue is with long-term...
