Front bumper is all tacked together, putting BP-51’s in tomorrow, start welding, and working on all the electrical side of things for secondary lights and winch.
It is on the center bolt, one of the first things I verified. Thanks for the info though to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I will probably pull the leafs out and reassemble the rear end to make sure nothing was missed or out of sorts.
Well I hope it doesn’t take months to find another dealers inventory and get step by step building and shipping notification. I do understand they added things and dealer was apologetic stating it happens time to time. It was ordered regardless.
I was able to order my wife’s new 4Runner at the dealership. A few things got added but mostly what we wanted. They worked with us on price for added options we didn’t want.
Thank you @gryder
u-bolts are tight. Verified multiple times. Both upper and lower shocks are tight, front and rear leaf bolts, and shackles. Spare tire is tight also. I may pull leaf packs and reinstall and see if maybe something didn’t seat right, I know a few with after market leaf packs...
Anyone running different rear leafs and have a “thump” or noise from the rear over smaller bumps. On certain bumps and speeds I have a noise from the rear that came after installing the OME medium leafs with BP-51’s. I’m not sure if it is leaf smack, maybe rear rebounding too fast? I have tried...
Set my preload on my BP-51’s for the front bumper winch and skid plates. Laid out the front bumper, made sure I had all the pieces and cleaned all the metal before fabrication begins next week most likely.
I’ve this happen on my 21 xl with halogen. Not sure what happens, usually corrects itself after I have the vehicle powered down and back on. Darn gremlins
I do like their skids. I do have an oxidation forming already from 2 months on the vehicle at the front top crease on my skid. Just from driving. I haven’t scratched them yet. Seems powder coat wasn’t great in that spot. I’ll post a picture later. Kinda bummed it’s rusted/pitted already.
Finished the bumper and installed, all new front and rear Diff fluid and transfer case. And Rough Country Diff Skid. Thanks to @Colo_Ranger for the hand installing also.
Just need to figure out the 4/7 pin plug at some point as there is no opening on the bumper for it.
Also updated my Livernois...
