  1. MBS Extended Automatic Transmission Dipsticks now available

Those are great links, thank you. I ordered 8 quarts of ULV because I hadn't seen an example where someone used more than 7 for the deep pan. Plus, I'm adding 10oz of LubeGard. I didn't realize that you can get more fluid by waiting 24-48 hours. I will definitely do that and pick up another...
  2. MBS Extended Automatic Transmission Dipsticks now available

OK, I think I'm set. I ordered the PPE deep pan from XDP yesterday for $288.86 after tax. Honey found a coupon code that saved me $30. RockAuto has the Mercon ULV for $5.23, so I ordered 8 quarts plus the filter. LubeGard Platinum is on the way as well. Mike emailed me back right away and said...
  3. MBS Extended Automatic Transmission Dipsticks now available

Geez, you've got me looking at the PPE pans now. That's all I need, someone else spending my money ? I think I found a decent deal on the deep pan. https://www.xtremediesel.com/ppe-328053610-brushed-heavy-duty-aluminum-10r80-deep-transmission-pan
  4. MBS Extended Automatic Transmission Dipsticks now available

I'm performing my first fluid change at 55K. Unfortunately, Mike is out of stock, so I sent an email to get an ETA. I'm definitely going to try the LubeGard additive. Is pumping the fluid out after installing the Fitzstick the recommended method for future changes? I know I need to drop the pan...
  5. Is the Patagonia AT Pro the perfect tire?

I have the same setup as you, just Eibach Pro 2 instead of Fox and the multi-leaf global Ranger rear spring (3/4" lift). The tire size fits well. I think this tire is fairly new or updated? The specs look good. If you like how they look, go for it! I got tired of waiting for the new BFG KO3...
  6. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Took a friend and his wife with a new F150 FX4 on their first excursion to our local desert.
  7. 5G Ranger's Hauling Things Thread

Just over a yard of garden soil.
  8. Advice for BakFlip cover paint peeling

Just an FYI, aluminum does not rust. It usually corrodes and will form a layer of aluminum oxide. I hope Real Trucks can do something for you. I had my eye on that cover.
  9. Need help figuring out what wheel offset I need.

The stock offset for our trucks is +55mm. I'm running stock wheels with a 2.5" lift, LT285/70R17 tires, Ready Lift intrusion bars, and a 1" spacer. The spacer reduces the offset to +30mm. Most aftermarket wheels will offer a +25mm offset. I don't recommend doing anything less than that...
  10. Bronco Roush Iridium 17in +25 rims and tires, will these fit?

No, those won't fit. They are essentially a 35" tire size. LT285/70R17 will fit with those wheels and your current modifications.
  11. Beautiful Pictures

A sunrise from the house the other day and a sunset a few days later. The sunset image was not altered at all. It was pretty amazing.
  12. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

40 bags of mulch weighing approximately 1200 lbs. The truck hardly knew it was there. I think I only noticed having to use more pedal when braking.
  13. Global multi leaf rear spring, anybody know spring design?

I wouldn't recommend doing one side at a time with the other tire on the ground. The spring with the tire on the ground is under load and the one you are changing is hanging lower since it is not under load. The axle will not be horizontally level in relation to the frame and will make it...
  14. Slow Sales

It's due to the SCAB delete! :p
  15. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Am I the only one thinking of a rapper with gold teeth and 50 lbs of gold chain hanging around his neck when I see this pic? I think that chain needs a clock hanging from it...:D
  16. Beautiful Pictures

A few sunsets from the neighborhood.
  17. How long did your factory tires last (miles)

47K on my Bridgestones. I had a few thousand or so left before I upgraded to larger tires.
  18. Just Checking In,

Great message and even greater news, Phil!
  19. What did you do to your Ranger today?

There is a slight drop in acceleration (power is the same), but more noticeable is the braking power. It definitely requires more pedal pressure for anything more than an easy stop. The transmission does switch back and forth more between 9th and 10th gears on the freeway if there are any small...
