Man I took the xlt out the first weekend I had it to Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Did the leveling kit and tires 2 or 3 days after buying, so it was ready to go. It performed well! I did have one incident where I ended up slamming the trailer hitch into the ground. But we survived damage free
That's crazy. Maybe it's regional? Trucks outsell cars here in Texas probably 10-1 lol.
But yeah, MSRP is up and there's significantly less rebates and deals out there right now. The sticker on this one was just over 42k and they took $2,250 off in rebates plus another $500 for the recent...
While I haven't gotten to any real offroading with it yet, I can say the suspension has great street mannerisms. The Fox suspension is really balanced and doesn't have a ton of roll like the fx4 trim does stock. I had no complaints about my standard xlt suspension on the street, but offroad it...
I traded in my 2019 Ranger XLT Sport 4x4 in on a Tremor! I had a Carvana offer for $31k (25k miles) which is what I paid new after rebates, so I headed to my local Ford dealer and left with a tremor! They ended up giving me 30k for the trade in and took the price of the XLT Tremor down to $39k...
Finally got around to doing this today! I was always a bit concerned doing off-road things with the tiny non-fx4 skid. Swap took about 20 minutes after locating all the bolts to remove the air dam. I ended up with a factory black skid plate that I'm liking more than I figured I would.
Before...
It was a wrench and the little info thing said check 4x4. I used Forscan and pulled the code - P1870 mechanical transfer case 4x4 switch circuit failure.
I’m wondering if it didn’t just get wet or jostled loose and everything is fine now...
I know what you mean. We did Park Road 2 up to Baby Back, cut over through Hog Alley, back up to Boss Hog, then took PR 2 to PR 3, back to 1 and then out. We were there about an hour and a half. Lots of fun.
Haha dude we did! We waved and I think you said nice truck. I got mine about a week and a half ago, did the RC 2.5'' leveling kit and the Wildpeak AT3Ws. I didn't air down though, kept them at 35PSI. Which trails did you do? We ended up on a couple that I wasn't quite ready for, but the Ranger...
And it performed great! Spent most of the time in 4 high. Occasionally used 4 low and at the steepest point I got the off road gauge showing 20 degrees. The Wildpeak AT3W tires were excellent on rock and in mud.
with that said - the service 4x4 light did come home about half way (30 miles in)...
I'm about 5'9 as well. I have 265/70-17s with the 2.5 RC kit. It's not terrible getting in, but I'd much rather have running boards. They're next on my list. My wife pretty much has to grab the oh shit handle and jump in and then slide out at 5'4.
You won't regret it. Ride is unchanged from factory, it looks fantastic, and the tires are great off road and quiet on road. I had the same tires on my 2017 Tacoma TRD-Off Road. Too bad that truck was awful.
