  1. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

I had a '13 Fusion, loved that car, my nephew has it now, and he loves it too! Not a red tail? Is it a red shoulder? Not sure what "raptors" you have down in FL... Looks like a Coopers Hawk. Not sure how they effect the squirrel population but birds at the feeder beware.
  2. Rangers in SNOW

Midsize Ranger and plow, works great even without chains. Had a layer of ice under the snow so was a little tricky but plowed my drive and about a mile of county road into my rural subdivision.
  3. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

    Plowed some snow.
  4. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Next to my Santa Ranger, don't look to hard.
  5. What type of spindle do you have?

2019 Ranger, I bought the 2nd one from the local dealer March 2019, mine is aluminon and I believe that part was made here in Effingham by Wapacu Foundries or so I was told by the shipping clerk. I have since retired but will see if I can find out what happened. Guess it comes down to this, do...
  6. Anyone besides me aware that there is a World Series going on?

Congratulations to the Braves, a team that did it the right way, a manager that has persevered all the ups and downs in his career and a city that saw the vocal minority get the All Star game moved. Personally, I think given the cheating scandal, it was fitting the Astros had to watch the Braves...
  7. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Thank you for that education, I will not speak for all Americans, but I sometimes forget other countries were desperately fighting on their own soil for freedoms I take for granted. Many times, those freedom fighters where not in an uniform placing themselves and others in great harm. I can only...
  8. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Giving a discount to WWII vets is not gong to be too costly, if they were 18 in 1945 that would make them 94 now, not a lot of our heroes left from that conflict. If a WWII vet comes , they should let him or her in for free.
  9. 2020 ranger. Less than 9k miles. Driveshaft bolts missing

Bolts are graded for hardness, Just replaced some bolts on my sisters sportster and went to FASTENAL and bought the correct bolts. I know I would not be comfortable with the hardware bolts, heads aren't even the same. Got to go check my driveshaft bolts.
  10. Lost my GPS antenna in the car wash!

Honesty and character, 2 things that only you can take from you. "The truth can run around naked, lies have to be covered up."
  11. Finally going to introduce myself. 2019 Ranger Sport 4x4 and 1967 Mercury Cou

Friend of mine had a 68 Cougar, 289 auto transmission. We got the bright idea to change it over to a 4 speed in high school auto class so off to the local junk yard to get everything we needed. Once we got it switched over it would hardly move. Rear end was geared to high and he had to slip the...
  12. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

And parked in a handicapped zone, unless I missed it, no sticker? Maybe on a plate?
  13. Insurance Rate

Glad I could help, we get by with a little help from our friends.
  14. Budget dashcam on sale at Amazon right now $29

I always wondered what was the most popular dash cam in Russia and other former Soviet countries, seems to be pretty good quality when I watch the crashes on YouTube.
  15. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

And now I have learned something, the cable being a way to release the door from the outside and from articles I looked at, they all hang down. Looks very sloppy and should be easy to tie up with zip ties or some type of break away eyelet. It would stay functional and the eyelets or whatever you...
  16. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

Did the release rope catch or was it the stray metal cable in the middle? I don't even know what that meatal cable would be for but it looks like you have plenty of clearance and the sloppy install of the metal cable is at fault. Maybe you could talk to whoever did the garage door install. By...
  17. Is Ford Cursed?

Ok, looked at this video several times, appears to be double track with a switch going to a single track. But there are 2 derailments here , appears to be a bunch of hoppers on the ground and train cars on the track in between. Sorry, this stuff just fascinates me.
  18. Is Ford Cursed?

Article on this derailment plus some video of the aftermath, shows the enormity of this. Appears to have happened in a slight curve. My guess is this was formally double track and when one of the tracks was taken up they had to make an alignment for the road crossing. Maybe speed played a...
  19. Is Ford Cursed?

I believe it is a liability more than anything. In todays eco friendly environment, I would think they would have to be disposed of their fluids and recycled where possible. Maybe someone here has more relevant info on how the railroads handle a salvage operation like this.
  20. Is Ford Cursed?

I worked for Penn Central and Conrail 1975 to 1984, worked a derailment of new full size vans. No salvage, the big Cats crushed and pancaked every van, not sure if that is what to be done here.
