    Illinois Front Hitch

    Although I can't speak to every hitch/guard combo, I can say that @Heavy Duty's works well with the Blackhorse. Hitch mounting plate sit on top of the guard mounts then factory tow hooks. Took some effort to install by myself, but should be an easy afternoon in the driveway with a friend.

    Love the front hitch and love the Blackhorse brush guard. Didn't really have any problems with mounting either (although I would HIGHLY recommend you call a friend to help).     Specifically the width of the bar between the towers. I have mine set around 40" but there is a little slipping on longer trips with a load.

    My apologies for bumping an old thread, but do you know the spacing that you used on your roof bars? Got some used Q Towers on marketplace and trying to dial in the width for the 5G Ranger.

    New Softtopper is coming in handy all of the time. It's nice to have the covered storage when needed. Several road trips under our belt with no issues or leaking.

    I know this thread is a little stale, but wanted to say how much I love my front hitch from @Heavy Duty.

    Installed both Black Horse brush guard and front receiver hitch (from @Heavy Duty). Now it's time for a leveling kit.

    Added an E-Track tie down from Harbor Freight. Almost perfect fit for the factory tie down in the bed behind the wheel well.

  18. Cargo tie down - what did you do?

    As fate would have it, the 2 slot E-Track plate from Harbor Freight is an (almost) perfect fit for the factory tie down behind the fender well. Only took about 1/4” of drilling.
