Ford sure is losing money by not selling their solderless chips and silicon board tech! That could save electronic manufacturers billions!
Proper soldering is present throughout every modern vehicle.
A proper soldering job isn't any more likely to fail than any other connection method. The...
Just got some late Christmas gifts from my brother in law, including a nilight bed light kit.
I know while reading up on the 12v bed port installs that they plug in to a dedicated plug already in the bed. I also seem to remember folks having found the correct pig tail for it, but can't find...
Found a deal on a BakFlip mx4 after all the glowing reviews it's got in this thread as well as many others on the site.
Bed got sprayed today, hopefully I'll have the cover sometime next week or the following.
Local Dealer ( different than the one I purchased from) does spray in liners AND accepts Ford points.
$340 out of pocket sounded significantly better than the $550/700 the Local lineX dealer wanted for their basic/UV resistant liner. Same basic warranty. If anything happens to the liner...
Getting my bed sprayed this week and an Folding Tonneau makes the most sense for my needs right now.
Would prefer a model that you can open and close the tailgate with the tonneau remaining closed.
I believe the BAKflip MX4 fits the bill but what are my other options?
Thanks for the info on both.
The set that has me particularly intrigued, mainly because it is on the driver side only, is the rectangular punchout and threaded hole at the top middle of the driverside wall.
Tried several searches but didn't find the answer.
I know the m8 holes near the wheel well are for the cost cuting move on the 3rd tiedown point. But what are all the other threaded holes and punchouts for?
Anything worthwhile to be added?
Wanted to check on something before I ordered the Switch. Search function and skimming through this 36 page thread I didn't see the answer, but if It has been previously discussed my Apologies.
I have a 4x4 Sport , open diff no e-locker. Obviously would have preferred a locking rear but was at...

Work changes forced me into buying at the exact wrong time and was pretty much at the mercy of what inventory was available in the Southeast.
Silver lining was finding a dealer with Ford 0% 60mo financing and getting way...
Picked up my 2021 XLT Sport on Tuesday, been lurking here since my employer changed their vehicle reimbursement policies and I needed to move to a more fuel efficient truck than my 01 F150 4.6.
Lots of good info in here, looking forward to learning more as time goes on.
