Congratulations on finally getting your prize. I can't wait to see some pictures. . .maybe in a well-known spot like The Punch Bowl or near Blow Hole??
I don't recall ever seeing a commercial on TV here in the Atlanta area. Like some of the others on the forum, I almost forgot that Ford started making the Ranger again, since so few are on the road around here.
We're finally going to have some winter temperatures this coming week after a warm December and first half of January. We'll be going from the high sixties and low seventies to freezing temps during the night time hours.
Will do. By the way, I really envy you getting to live in Hawaii. That used to be one of my regular destinations and when I would first begin to see the islands come into sight, my heart always jumped for joy at the beauty!
Congratulations on finally getting your truck. I know it's been a long wait for you, but sure looks like it'll be worth it! Now, if they would only get mine built!
The engines were so powerful and durable that the air line I was with back in the 70s and 80s bought them by the trailer load for all their ground equipment. Every van, tug, pickup, etc. had a Ford 300 in it.
I hope you get it really soon. My truck is supposed to be built next Thursday (23rd) and I figure it'll take three or four days to be loaded onto a truck headed this way.
I had a 1991 F-150 Lariat 4X4 with the 300 six. It was the smoothest running engine I've owned and loaded with torque. Unfortunately, it also loved gasoline!
I understand your feelings. I had my second cataract surgery just last week and am in the healing process--so far, so good. Having this last surgery has been a little more difficult because it was done on my "good eye." My right eye had a blood vessel to burst in the retina in July of 2018...
Unfortunately, I'm constantly tracked. They even keep a report card on me that I can view on their website. . .and yes, I do want to go pedal to the metal from time to time, especially in my Corvette!
Just like in the commercials, State Farm monitors where I drive, how fast I accelerate and take curves, as well as all my other driving habits. It's all to get a discount on my premiums. I don't particularly like it, but if I want the discount, I have to live with it.
I have read on another forum that you shouldn't let you fuel level go much below a quarter of a tank. The reason given is that the gas helps to keep the fuel pump cool. Apparently, this only applies to vehicles with the pump inside the tank, and I don't know if this would apply to the Ranger.
