The sound quality of satellite radio is God awful, I won't even use it if it's free!! They play music at 16kbps and it's the same 10 songs on rotation back to back repeating. I load my own music from CDs for musical entertainment :)
Could be due to dealer allocations. The dealer I bought mine from could only get 5 Rangers in for 2021, 3 for 2022, 1 for 2023, and none this year. Lack of availability can definitely cause slow sales.
Mine has been flawless until a few months ago when Android Auto got updated with the ugly new map colors and crap. Now it is all over the place. Will connect for an hour at times, or disconnect every two minutes. Thankfully I don't have to use it very often, but when I do, it's frustrating...
I ripped all 1200 of my CDs to FLAC/ALAC, and have no issues playing them from my 1TB SSD with a SATA to USB converter. Sounds so much better than using Bluetooth. I do miss having a CD player though!
Hand wash preferred, touch less otherwise. If you live in a state with muddy, salty, nasty, gritty roads for 9 months of the year, like Maine, ONLY do touchless washes. The brushes at regular car washes will grind all the grit and dirt into your clearcoat and paint, which can cost a lot of money...
28k on my 2021. No issues other than having to replace the gasoline in the storage tank about twice a week. Seems like it all goes away after 250-300 miles of driving. Joking aside, it's been extremely reliable! Hoping there aren't any surprises after the warranty expires in 2,000 miles.
I am at just over 27,000 miles on my Dynapro factory tires, and they still look almost the same as when I purchased brand new! I think I'll probably get around 55-60k out of them easily!
Very nice upgrade, but seems odd they can't just use the original antennas for GPS and cellular. Even the Bluetooth has a wired mic instead of using the factory setup.
I can confirm, I've seen it defrost that little patch up top. It doesn't work as well as the rear defrost, but it definitely does what it's supposed to. You'll notice it when there is just a light layer of frost, not solid ice.
I much prefer the XLT for a lot of reasons, over the Lariat. The cloth heated seats get a lot warmer in the XLT, and heat up fast. I like the analog guages with the center screen, as it looks less cluttered and more like a truck than a car. I have the 301A package which doesn't have GPS built in...
Hey all! I just recently returned home after a 4 day, 2705 mile road trip up and down the East Coast. During each of the nearly 15-hour drives, I adjusted my steering wheel and seat positions several time to reduce fatigue. On my last leg of the trip back home, I moved my steering wheel as...
My AC is blowing cold enough, but it doesn't feel "freezing cold" like the air from my 2017 Mercedes C Class I traded in. I noticed that when cruising around 55-70mph, the air is considerably colder from the vents than while driving in stop and go traffic. Maybe it is something to do with the...
Mine was the only cactus gray Ranger in the entire state of Maine for almost 8 months before another one finally showed up at the dealership. I got lucky with mine in the middle of the worst part of the chip shortage. When I bought mine, there were maybe 10 Rangers in Maine total, and most...
I came from a loaded 2017 Mercedes C Class with LED headlights and it was a massive downgrade going to halogen, but I got two LED bulbs on eBay that I swapped out and can't complain now :)
I would definitely love to see a 360 camera project complete on a Ranger! That would be quite an awesome thing to pull off, especially if it was able to make use of the factory SYNC screen for the camera system.
I only have rear sensors as well, however I don't think the front ones are really necessary. My truck has a clear pane of glass that I can see out of when I am parallel parking, enabling me to detect distances to objects by vision :D
I have the same issue with mine, but I have narrowed it down to overspray from when I got my undercoat applied at the dealer. I inspected everything near the exhaust, and there are several areas where a decent amount of the black goop landed a little close to high temperature areas. It smells...
Mine is exactly the same in cold weather. It was 9F out this morning when I went to work and I needed to put some supplies in the bed, and my damper squealed when it went down
I was very lucky when I bought mine, it was the only one coming into my dealership, had almost every option I wanted (no nav 302a package) but had everything else and the bed liner. The Ford logo in the bed is definitely worth it! Makes it look more finished and less generic
