Yeah, similar to the Ranger Tremor if you get the switches. Ford laid out six circuits prewired (even mine has it without the switches) everywhere. Cables just waiting to be connected all around it for accessories.
Afternoon,
So I gather that it is okay to use one of these (empty ones on the outsides) for lights or audio amplifiers? This is a Bronco, and I believe my Ranger has a similar setup at the battery?
Thanks,
Jason
Give it a 1000 miles of varied driving. AND USE SPORT MODE, maybe even Tow if you have that. The truck will figure out what to do, It will.
If you still are fist-to-cuffs with the tranny, a Ford Performance Tune will make it much better and more fun.
Congratulations and Enjoy!
Nice, Looks great!
I have been eyeing these for a while, but other ideas got in the way. I have an XLT, so I just upgraded bulbs.
Did you connect the little DRL module that comes with them? I seem to remember that you could set it aside and leave it not connected. I don't feel like tapping...
Changed shocks out twice, only at 10k miles, I reused the 1st time as it was only like 700 miles on the clock. The second time, I added 589 Shock Protection and they came with a new longer bolt.
I try to replace with new when I can.
Looking at throwing an Audio Control D8-400 somewhere? I have a Supercab, so the bins under the rear seat are used, maybe under the front seats? It is 9x8x2 for reference.
Anyone done anything similar?
Oh you know, just a little something for the Ranger to help me raise my headlights back up to where I would like them. They are on the S3M website, and it looks like you might be trying to get some too!
Hey Frank,
You still have me on that list right? The one where you are suppose to let me know when the "you know what's" get closer or come in?
Don't tell anyone else, but thought I would check in. :p:cool:
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Jason
I have yet to do this as I waiting on new coilovers, but where did you use the small washers. I have them in the box, but did not see them referenced in the instructions. Thanks! Jason
btw... those look great!
(EDIT: I think I figured it out, two washers per side, go on with the nut...
Most of us that have ICON's I think have ICON leafs too. I had Bilstein all around (5100's front, 5160's rear) then added ICON leafs first as I have a trailer to deal with, plus a bed rack etc. and it turned out Great!
Then I was down the ICON slope, and love every bit of it. Don't get me...
The shock subject has been so beat to death on this forum, you can get lost in it. I am not sure if anyone has actually done both of the shocks you are looking at to give you a fair comparison.
You could do both, 500 miles on each and then sell off the ones that do not make the grade to...
The Mono leaf spring is really the problem, if you are wanting to change the ride to soft.
Any aftermarket offering will do if you are after a quick fix for the "Ranger Jive". I did the Bilstein 5160's within first two weeks. Helped the control, but did not help the jarring of the Mono Leaf...
I'm doing an ICON Stage 7 kit in steps. Only waiting on the Front Coilovers left, have the UCA's.
There is definitely a BIG difference between the normal upgrades you (OP) mentioned, to the 2" offerings and then the 2.5"s.
Definitely makes for a Bad Ass Ranger if you do enough ICON on it...
