I know some yrs back there were discussions about the negative environment impacts of EVs and the cost to manufacture batteries. But I can't say today I fully understand bitcoin and other digital currencies, but like AI the amount of electricity being consumed makes me wonder regards the overall...
The mailman and the blonde
The neighborhood mailman was retiring and on his last day, the blonde opens the door in a see- through nightgown, takes him into the bedroom and gives him the best sex ever.
Afterwards, the blonde cooks breakfast for the mailman, and places a dollar next to mailman’s...
Well I'm almost 74 and lots of arthritis, back is worn to a sh*t, neck vertebrae are fused. But I reason that if I stop doing all my own work - well that will likely be the end of doing it as once you stop doing stuff and you try again at a later time - it will likely be even more difficult on...
No longer driveable, seems the unfortunate owner was having a difficult time lighting the stove and then poof. I could have posted this in the Darwin thread but sometimes it's just bad luck, when I lived in Pagosa Springs in an upscale development there was a 2nd home for a guy from LA who...
I watched some of that project farm video, sad to say my motopower tester that I bought some yrs back for < $15 wasn't highly rated. However it's been around 3 yrs now since I disabled the truck's bms which eliminated the need to do battery testing so the motopower is collecting dust.
Watching football today and saw what is arguably the dumbest car commercial yet- for the Hyundai Palisade hybrid. Why is this darwinesque, because it's reportedly a well designed vehicle , deserves better than a completely assinine commercial. Think I'll go out to the garage and give my Ranger...
yes it also extends the life of your battery, but also disables low soc warnings, load shedding, and reportedly eliminates (estimated) .01 mpg fuel savings.
Maybe I shouldn't have tossed my 50 yr old battery charger that used a transformer and plate style bridge rectifier, but I think to use it as a desulfator you'd need to figure out how to pulse the current. What the schematics show is just how simple a basic desulfation device is, just pulsing...
Iirc battery minder makes desulfator that is on-board the vehicle, they have been around a long while and likely actually designed devices, today there are a plethora of batt chargers with basic desulfation, they just send pulses of ~ 15.5v to the battery to dissolves the sulfite crystals, more...
I have one of those and yes as their documentation explains it will drain your battery if left connected for an extended time. I would recommend buying a battery charger with a desulfation mode and using that periodically instead or a more expensive onboard desulfation device like tjc uses that...
