When I lived in Denver I use to get a grin taking visitors from back east up Trail Ridge Rd or Loveland pass, no guardrails and there would be visible angst on their faces. 550 above Ouray does have some stretches that one best be focused on driving.
Early start to the plunging season, this happened over the weekend near Ouray, note the other vehicle in the upper right. Need more tourists to clog the highway as they act to keep speeds under control.
The XT has extremely smooth power delivery from the CVT - arguable too smooth and too me the simulated shifting doesn't come close to a geared autobox. I've had shift paddles on several autos and never used them useless feature IMO. The only think I really dislike about the outback is a stupid...
yeah have that on wife's 2025 Outback XT and yrs back had self leveling on Saabs who also had headlight washers. Those Crosstreks are selling like Hotcakes and for 2026 you can get the 2.5 engine.
I joined the subaru.org forum, it's humorous reading some of the out there posts, a lot of old...
Self leveling headlights have been required for HID for decades in Europe. Good that Toyota has a manual feature - but I wonder how many will bother using it.
Well Hyundai is forging ahead with it's $12.6 b EV plant in Georgia - while Ford, GM and Stellantis are licking their wounds and taking their write offs. Since Chinese made EVs possibly may never be sold in the US market - Hyundai sees the future opportunity. Yes it's only a matter of...
thanks, I'm gathering info to advise my son who may be in the market for a new pickup - and didn't heed his old man's advice when he bought a used 2016 Taco with 60k for $32k back in 2020, whereas I paid $34k for a 2019 Ranger Lariat , demo with 700 miles. Now at 116k miles his Taco needs $5k...
yeah lots of subspecies of cutthroats, they were at one time stocked in alpine lakes in CO, some self reproducing lakes still have some lunkers, now what they called "native" - the greenback cutt is mostly stocked and it's the state fish of Colorado, but they seem to be on the smaller side...
What size fish in the river ? 10 yrs back went on a 4 day backpack trip in the white cloud wilderness, fished some decent size lakes but the fish were on the small side. Forgot what the main highway was but was impressed by the numerous camping areas . IIRC it was the inagural year for that...
1st RV I've ever owned so don't have a comparison point, but I like it and in reading posts from owners who previously had beam suspension RVs - it makes a big difference in reducing the amount of energy transmitted from bumps and uneven road surfaces into the RV, plus it enhances handling on...
I have curt designed coil spring independent suspension on my NOBO 19.5 and 13" of ground clearance so I can drag the trailer on some jacked up roads, the problem is getting to those places, if I drive over 60 gas consumption is robust, took mostly back roads on a recent trip to Moab and going...
I've only been to the dealership once to use Ford points for a wheel alignment, considering I'm 74 and have given some pause to ending self service and the dealership I went to - well an added consideration was an attractive pleasant lady service writer. I know dream on........
yeah that cheap SOB was preying on waitresses and many that waited on him said he wasn't exactly a good tipper. Maybe he and Vonn can get back together, they deserve each other. Woods went out of his way to diss Daly. I just remember one of my former golf buddies had me over to his place...
