I still have Castrol oil in cardboard cans from the 70s that was 25 cents a can. Back when the first oil shortage started and I stocked up. Works for mowers and chainsaw bars. Wonder if it'll work in the Ranger? Probably not, it's not synthetic so the gas dilution would probably turn it back...

My oil gets changed about every 2k miles (when the oil life indicator on the app gets to about 10%) at the dealer. The level between changes always goes up with the oil stinking like gas. Dealer said it's normal for these engines and don't worry.
