Yeah, I'm not sure if it acts like a text message or what, but I hit "start engine" and that guy is out in the tball parking lot a good 500yrds away, and it's running.
I was looking at this same wheel but with the +20 offset to keep the tires inside 1" more... You say you need more trimming of Crash Bars etc, do you find your Driver's side wheel hits the front bar under HARD RIGHT? or under HARD LEFT?
Same question for the Rear, does it contact under HARD...
What offset did you use on your FUEL rims?
And which direction of the driver's side wheel gets closest to the front crash bars during steering lock? Hard Left? or Hard Right?
Can you take some L/R Lock photos?
255/75/17 was exactly what I was looking to upgrade my tires to but two things I was concerned with were:
1. Offset (looks like they're ok on the stock 55mm offset)
2. Lock clearance with the crash bar.
Interesting. This type of discussion came up years ago back in the mid-90s.... Some report mentioned that it's better to idle for anything under 60s of time and to turn the engine off for anything over that.... but obviously "cleaner" starts have changed the game.
Is there an actual physical clearance difference between the FX4 and standard Ranger?
I see the 4x4 Ranger has a slight increase in clearance at front and rear.
Here are the Differences between 4x2 and 4x4 SuperCrews (NON FX4)
Cab Height: 71.2 vs 71.8
Ground Clearance: 8.4 vs 8.9

But a 5' start stop constantly would be just awful.
I get the "Intent" of the S/S feature, but feel that it's a method for increasing fuel economy on paper and not in real life.
I went with blue. Adds color. Matches accents inside the cluster etc.
Wanted more pop than white. Felt red was too off from existing colors inside.
Blue is subtle and Ford.
That's my thinking at least.
My experience - You won't see a substantial drop.
Drive Mode vs. Sport mode I've noticed a 0.4 mpg average difference.... with similar driving styles (I'm heavy footed).
Now, if I go super light, the MPGs climb, but it's a driving style not a driving mode difference.
I'm not sure how much fuel is required to idle for 1 min vs starting the vehicle.
But, the lights here don't last long. The biggest issue is multiple light cycles to get through an intersection.
If you stop the first time, then move ahead after one cycle, the car doesn't shut off again. So for...
