You run the truck while doing an upload. Just get you a battery charger on and leave the truck in assy mode. Don't have to waist gas.

Personalty I would not pay for NA 2.22 maps. You should get them for free. Even the NA 2.22 is really outdated. I would wait for the next update if you have to pay. Maybe you can get free maps from cyanlabs. Ford should not be charging for outdated maps.
