*boom
And with that, Phil walks away from R5G never to be seen again.
Listen, I like Phil a lot even if his Ranger experience is from previous generations. If some of you don't like his advice, don't solicit it. The digs and jabs are unwarranted. Walk away and do your thing quietly.
He...
I assume you're setting this up for overlanding like those crazy aussies....
What are the benefits to a flat deck over a regular bed?
Some seem obvious to me, but I am sure there are many I don't see.
Are the sanctions over with Forscan now?
I basically mothballed my plans earlier because of the issue.
I'm sure our Can Gov has been monitoring our internet usage though the ArriveCan app and noting if individuals were doing business with Russian companies so they could arrest us for treason...
This applies to so many threads on here LOL
Like anything related to oil, and the oh so dreaded damper talk.
I guess if anything it retains a fun factor every day you come here. Never a dull moment.
I just flat out avoid towing anyone out of a ditch, and totally understand if someone balked at towing my desperate ass out if i was begging them.
I have Ford roadside and CAA for calling tow trucks who have the right equipment and insurance
My guess is Ford went to Spicer, and said we need a shaft that has these dimensions and this is our intended purchasing audience with these criteria, and they listed a few things that marketing said would be the most common trait amongst buyers
Spicer delivered the shaft they thought was best...
Interesting....so why has Ford not done this to many with the bearing issue squeaking?
most if not all I believe have said they were given full assembly shafts for replacement?
Zerk fittings are a piece of cake to install yourself
If you got the skills to install a lift on your own, you can put in some grease fittings with your eyes closed.
Isnt the problem being that this bearing is built into the shaft and it's not easy, or near impossible, to just swap out the bearing?
you need some skills to cut it up, weld it up and rebalance it.
I got this.
I'll PM you the account for the e-transfer of $3000.
Basically, 10 of these one piece drive shafters need to trade in their Rangers for the new Frontier.
It excels in many ways because the ass end isn't as high. The higher rake of the Ranger is the cause.
Frontier ...its the...
My point was, and it applies to you as well, that I'm not a big enough sample to make any determination on the longevity of a bulb.
Opinions aside, the claim that everyone's gonna be changing bulbs now is hogwash until proven with data over a larger sample size than you or I.
I'd be skeptical the front bed frame could handle the pull from the winch over time.
Would rather mount it to the floor with a frame that attaches to solid structure.
The cranes are cumbersome, but effective.
No Damper here, and have never willingly attended said tailgate parties.
I may have been duped into attending one though.
I quickly realised my mistake, flexed my pecs and backed away slowly.
