we have the goodyear duratrac 255/75/17s now. very happy so far. its a 32" tire that fits stock (unlifted, unmodified).
there are a few other threads on it, heres one i was posting to:

My wife and I had a blast on 'fins n things' in moab last weekend. as usual no impressive photos, as ive got a white-knuckle grip on the steering wheel and my wife prefers to be in the truck not in the dust;)
below is one shot from the second half. we had a blast riding up and down these...
here is an article that was one of the places i had seen it suggested that electronics would make the locking diff potentially unnecessary.

the author is a ranger forum member- i think ive seen him on here at some point...
the thing i activated is the 'trail control' low speed cruise control option, button down on the middle control by the 2H/4H/4L dial. it clearly changes the way the car manages power. just being in 4WD and pushing gas on these obstacles i was spinning wheels going nowhere. even with gentle...
interesting. i guess what im saying is thats exactly what i did this weekend, and the TC got me through without having to turn on the mechanical locker.
and it makes logical sense to me that the TC can do anything the locker can, in terms of putting power to the correct wheel. although it may...

is that thread.
hard to compare apples to apples, but they seem bright to me. i dont know if anyone has compared various models to each other. i generally distrust the lumens stats on these imported electronics.
ah. thanks for clarifying. i understand now. you are right on- im clearly having parking warnings, not collision warnings. and thats clearly why my truck was not decelerating on its own etc. makes me feel better.
i did get warnings saying the front facing camera coudlnt see (also ice issues)...
thanks. this is the first time ive owned a car at the same time as being in a place that ices. its been a while..
is anti ice spray like a thin coat of silicone so the water beads off, or something different? ill have to get some.
last weekend my wife and i went to moab and did fins 'n things between hikes and offroad camping, which was super fun and a really unique trail for us.
it definitely stretched the capacity of our truck (stock plus 32" tires) and my offroad capabilities. put some new scars on the undercarriage...
we switched out to the duratrac 255/75/17 last week and took it for a spin in moab. tires worked well. no complaints. cant say i notice a difference between the hancooks and them in terms of offroad performance, but i didnt expect it to change my life. i just wanted a little more clearance and...
i was getting this today. first cold day in the ranger with temps hovering just below freezing and some light snow and rain. i started getting constant pre-collision/parking alarm alarms in all quadrants, mostly the front. always when at slow speeds, usually when starting from a stop or when...
another update after a few weeks more: work great as above, and we have been using them regularly. i have started using them in addition to the standard low/highs at night as they increase the visibility without getting into oncoming eyes, as far as i can tell. i have not been knowingly flashed...

home is where the heart is. before we got the damper getting out in the morning without dropping the tailgate was very.. acrobatic.
yes, perfect. thanks for taking the time to do that.
yes ours appears to have a bigger gap in the corners. if i did this again i would not go with ARE unless something has changed.
im curious what your experience with the offroad info display is-
my suspicion is that it takes a little while to refresh, or it averages over a certain time interval. it seems that it never shows the pitch or camber that is quite as extreme as i suspect, but then i am rarely at those angles...
that will be fun. post photos:)
if folks are reading this and wondering where they stand, i think it would be reasonable to proceed from ophir > imogene > black bear. if ophir gives you even a moment of pause, you will feel taxed on imogene but you will be fine. if imogene makes you even...
im also interested in whether there is a really granular description of what 'dark car' mode does.
we have it enabled. all i can really say is that i was annoyed by the beeps and lights when parking previous to enabling it, and now i am not. but there are still beeps and lights. it just seems...
is this a supercrew thing?
we have the supercab, and both my wife and i find that if we dont slam the door (the non-suicide/primary door) if sometimes doesnt latch completely.
i guess we could spend a lot of time gently but forcefully closing it, but why?
on a related note, i actually...
