I had never used this service dept. before so I wasn't sure. overall I am happy with the experience. but yeah, they can be dicks. This one guy where we take the wife's Caddy has a personality that makes me miss the Nuns from Catholic School. I will not deal with him, I'd rather stand in line to...
I can say that Fraser Ford did the work on my truck, putting a new driveshaft in it and so far all seems to running smoothly.
Please feel free to post up your experiences at different dealerships ??
The truck is home safe and sound. It was in fact the center carrier bearing that went out necessitating a whole new driveshaft. Seems like a lot of waste for a bad bearing but hey, gotta keep that supply chain humming. Thanks to Fraser Ford for getting the job done quickly and painlessly.
None taken, and thank you. I just try to raise awareness where I can, she did everything right, as people should. But ultimately, the driver is in control of several thousand pounds of steel and glass. That's why you need a license to drive but not walk I guess ?
Agreed 1000%.
@Bob902:
Our daughter is 30 and was a pedestrian hit by a Kia Sorento while legally in a crosswalk 2.5 years ago. She survived but hasn't been able to work, can't concentrate on any task for more than a few minutes or be in a room with more than one conversation going on, she...
I do not like the cluster in the Lariat, it is very difficult to see anything most of the time, I don't have the gumption to swap in a different one though. It is funny how our brains work though, even though the OP had a banged up wrist he still did the same thing twice more. Be careful around...
Just talked to the service advisor, he said it's a driveshaft, the center bearing seal went bad??? They asked about the Krown rustproofing I had done but couldn't say for sure that caused it, so its covered. Should be ready to pick up tomorrow. Whew!
Ordered. $190 Australian works out to $179 Canadian, or $142 US. Is that more affordable now @AzScorpion? Maybe you just need to hustle and find a couple more suckers for your damper/snake oil garbage????
I think I need this, shipping be damned. Had global windows down in my Volt, loved it but this looks like next level shit. The only thing that gives me pause for thought is the T-Tap connections. I worry about long-term reliability with stuff like that.
Thanks for sharing OP :thumbsup:
Returned it to stock tune (now it shifts like an angry orangutan is pulling the internal levers) and left it at the dealership so they can diagnose a grinding sound in the driveline. Let us pray. :please::please::please:
Took it to the dealership this afternoon and should find out in the morning what's up.
First time I've ever been back there for any kind of service, so I asked the service adviser sell me a set of cabin and engine air filters to go, to kinda build a tenuous relationship and hopefully they...
Best of luck in your new ride, I hope it gets to your stepson in great shape and the new Ranger will fit the bill for you down the road.
I had a Chev Volt before this and felt the same. I had a Fusion platinum for a couple days as a rental and It was some hybrid thing but wow it was a nice...
I just hate prop rods man. But in this single instance gas struts are acceptable, but the real deal is spring loaded hinges like on my 79 F100. Nothing in my way while turning wrenches, except my own ego and overall lack of skill. ?
