Perseverance. It likely helps that I worked in auto assembly for way too much of my life but I am very familiar with those big green CPA clips that holds them on. You need to kinda work the tips back and once they pop the hose comes off. You gotta feel around to find the little nubs at the...
That's awesome, congrats! I love that color I wish I had the patience back whom I got mine to order my exact truck in that color instead of taking an available black one.
Decide in haste, repent in leisure. When will I finally learn?
Have a safe trip and I hope there are minimal problems to fix.
And I always, ALWAYS, give GM the middle finger when I drive by. It's the least I can do ?
Mine were factory or dealer installed when I bought it, I'm glad they were. I ain't getting any younger, and with an artificial hip every bit helps. And I'm six feet tall, I don't know how a shorter person would get in without them lol.
As far as width, I can't think they would make a...
I can confirm the initial oil filter change was a huge PITA, that filter was on super tight. I think the three jaw thingy would be beneficial for sure. The oil filters on all GM engines i've owned were relatively easy to reach and get a grip on compared to this beast. Or maybe the guy installing...
I wouldn't let flash like that bug me on the stock exhaust. Now if it was all over the hood and fenders that's another story.
In 1988 I took my first ever brand new car back in for a few small items that were admittedly cosmetic and the guy asked me if I "picked the flyshit out of the pepper"...
Looks great. That's a cool ride too :)
My neighbor is always giving me the gears that I wash mine so much (every two weeks LOL) that i will rub the paint right off it someday. I couldn't imagine his disapproval with you doing 3 washes in a single day LOL
Thanks Quang, I always appreciate the effort and detail you include in posts like this. Now I gotta check mine, it seems like it could be in the same boat.
I noticed the load height was high but that didn't bother me as much as the lack of a good foothold on the bumper to stand on and no stake pocket or anywhere to grab hold of while getting up in the bed for any reason.
The 2.5" front level also seemed to lower the tail, and a bedstep helps out...
hmmm.
in no particular order...
Forscan to disable all the chimes and weird noises on entry/startup/exit.
Rear Eibachs.
Redtek Windows.
Putco Grille.
Unleashed.
Bed Step.
I'm sure there are more to come, but I don't count the foam cannon and graphene stuff that @AzScorpion is always...
Can confirm this works. I did it several times in my S/C Regal and GTP because the rotors in the supercharger were coated in Teflon or something.
That's the only time I would tackle a job like this, but I don't live in Texas. While you are doing yours in January, I'm under 3 feet of snow.?
Everytime I see this thread pop up my left eye starts twitching and I get the shakes, remembering what a PITA the install was, and how the Mishimoto hoses cracked and needed to come off the truck in less than a year. Removal was also a giant PITA.
Just say no, to mishimoto at least
Hey folks,
When switching between the Unleashed towing and performance tunes, should I return the truck to stock then flash the other tune? Or just put the performance tune in and don't worry about it?
Thanks!
