For anyone interested on the CHMSL mount that I installed, I was able to put the SWR meter on the CB radio this weekend to get some readings and do a bit of tuning! In the pics, the CB antenna is the one on the left and that was the one I tested this weekend.
Here are the two antennas...
Short answer is yes, they do come on. However they do not come on in every situation. If your truck can gradually slow down just by coasting or a slight bit of engine braking, then your truck will use that and not activate the brake lights, however when needed and your truck uses the actual...

Bed Extender folded inside the bed and a rubber bed mat! Works great for grocery and other trip here when I need to keep things at the back!
Part Number of what I got:
Bed Mat alone (And the bed mat itself grips pretty great actually and is much nicer on the knees):
With Bed Mat...
Not towing far, but still using the hitch! Moved a few boats around and getting them pulled out of the water for the inlaws this weekend! Ranger once again did awesome and barely even broke a sweat! And being that the space ya have to work with on their street is so small, Ranger was the perfect...
Just gotta love Drummond! Makes me miss DOA last year! Awesome to see the Ranger out there doing it! And that spot you had to winch, I totally remember that spot and that a very hard choice of extreme camber with a bolder if you go straight, or a very hard bail out to climb in that mud to the...
I would partially disagree, at least in my opinion that from my off roading experiences, I have found uses for dedicated tow hooks as well, not just using the trailer hitch with a shackle mount. However, for most case, yes, a hitch with a shackle mount is sufficient, but would be nice to have...
I found one, but trying to understand how they have mounted it. Almost looks like a bar across that would be in the way of the tow package, hence why it seems to not be available with the tow package. But that would really suck. Not quite sure why they would have designed it that way?
Looking...
I have the 265/65/R17 Hankooks with the Sport Packages and FX4 package on my Ranger on the Magnetic wheels for the 4 main wheels and tires, and just checked my spare, and I also have a 265/65/R17 Hankook (Same Tire) on a 17" steelie as a spare under the bed, and that is from factory. So all 5 of...
The switch bank is pretty interesting, but I also find the addition of the rear recovery hooks nice as well! I hope those are able to be retrofitted on as well, as I have been looking for a nice recovery hook option like that. I know you can always add a hook to the hitch, but having the...
Parked next to this beautiful CJ at the First Curve on M-116 on the way to Ludington State Park!
And of coarse, next to Lake Michigan too!
And next to some trees on the route out from Pentwater Pathways!
I would be interested in some sort of additional rear tow hook besides the receiver too! Iv'e been looking into it but not coming up with much luck anywhere! I think the older FX4s, maybe the Level II package, used to come with a rear tow hook! It was a smaller hoop-like hook, but really don't...
Yep, unfortunately, even with the proper release from Ford, it was still lost. But luckily, I pretty much always just sue AUTO in my truck, so not a very big deal for me. i will go and use ForScan to bring it back.
I do plenty of off roading in Michigan with my Jeep club and have taken the Ranger out through a lot of what you are thinking as well across the state. The stock points should be just fine. Plus, as many others have stated, the after market kit looks great, but to off road, those are definitely...
