  1. Should I remove the antenna before going through a carwash?

I never had any issues with my factory one, but I did change it to a stubby model just for peace of mind. I really only listen to Sirius or music from my phone, so I wasn't worried about FM reception, so I don't even know if it affected it.
  2. Can't We All Just Get-a-long?

I have nothing against people who own Toyotas, Chevys, Nissans, or Dodges. I just feel that someone should let them know they bought the wrong truck. I am just looking out for them! That is why I feel the need to say "My truck is better than your truck!!!" every time I pass one.
  3. Your Age-Your First Ford-What You Learned To Drive On-Your Rangers Year!

I am 51 years old, I learned to drive on 87 Buick Regal, and an 86 Chevy Caprice Classic (loved those old boats). My first ford was an 83 Escort (learned to drive stick shift on that car). My first Ranger was an 87 that was totaled by some lady who thought she didn't have to stop at a red...
  4. Max towing!! yeehaw

I used to work as a supervisor in a home depot tool rental center. If you are going to rent any of their towable equipment, make sure you either have both 2" and 2 5/16" balls for your hitch, or check before you go so you know you can pull the trailer. The Ranger can easily pull the small...
  5. Ever Wonder why?

I remember as a kid, no car seats, and we had an 83 Dodge Omni hatchback that my younger sister and I would sit in then back hatch area when we traveled on road trips. You couldn't get away with that now. Yet somehow I am still standing. And I drank out of the garden hose too!!!
  6. How long for the Ranger smile to fade?

I just got my first service done this week at 10K miles and the smile is still going strong! And just in case any of you are wondering, YES I still find myself saying My truck is better than your truck every time I see a Tacoma.
  7. Hey everyone! a new Tremor owner

Well let me be the first to welcome you to the group!! I have had my Tremor for almost a year now and still love it every time I get to go for a drive. Glad to see you already have your damper too!
  8. Blowout

If you have a full size spare, you could put that on the left rear and replace the blown tire so you have equal tread depth on both sides.
  9. Looks like somebody is getting a new Black Ranger Crew Cab!

Ok, this whole post is just getting out of control! Can we just talk about Dampers now?
  10. Do you guys think this will "Buff out"?!

Most importantly, I am glad you are ok. Did you at least get some steaks from the cow that murdered your Ranger? It looks like the impact went up and over the sensors that trigger the airbags. They measure how quickly the front end is being crushed back, and are usually located on the frame...
  11. I assume it's completely custom but does anyone know how the Ford Thailand Racing team got their trucks so low?

Awww Man!!! Now you have made me want a Shelby Super Snake version of the Ranger!
  12. Checking-in

Welcome to the club! Now get your tailgate dampener on order, and you will officially be one of us!
  13. Show me your tonneau cover bed rack combo

Where were these pictures taken? I am looking for cool places to take my Tremor, and this looks like it would be worth the drive.
  14. The Flying Ace is FINALLY Here!

Very nice choice of truck! I know I love mine. I am a little jealous that you are in CO, lots of great trails out there to take advantage of with that Tremor.
  15. The True Ancestor of the 5G Ranger

My best friend has a sport trac, and I have never looked at it like it was a modified explorer. It just doesn't look like an explorer with the back end cut off and capped off. The jeep gladiator does look like a modified wrangler to me.
  16. Lariat Tremor stuck in VA railyard since Dec 29 - what's going on?

It could have rail damage and be in the repair process. I used to work in a Ford dealership body shop, and we did repairs for vehicles damaged in transit. Usually it is something minor like a scratch or paint damage from wheel sparks. I am not sure if they tell you about it, but you may want...
  17. Body Filler Legit?

I spent 10 years working as an advisor in a body shop. Body filler is necessary to smooth out the scratches and prepare the metal for paint. A proper repair will only have a thin skim coat of filler once the metal has been reworked to the proper shape. The fact that they took the time to walk...
  18. Loving New 21 Lariat Tremor

Welcome to the family! I have had my Tremor since April 2021, and I am still smiling!
  19. Tremor Tantrum Alaskan Ranger "build"

Moose Auto Detailers: An Alaskan tradition since 1932! How many licks did it take to get to the center?
  20. First road trip woes

On the adaptive cruise control, could the sensor have gotten just enough salt and dirt on it to throw it off?
