I never had any issues with my factory one, but I did change it to a stubby model just for peace of mind. I really only listen to Sirius or music from my phone, so I wasn't worried about FM reception, so I don't even know if it affected it.
I have nothing against people who own Toyotas, Chevys, Nissans, or Dodges. I just feel that someone should let them know they bought the wrong truck. I am just looking out for them! That is why I feel the need to say "My truck is better than your truck!!!" every time I pass one.
I am 51 years old, I learned to drive on 87 Buick Regal, and an 86 Chevy Caprice Classic (loved those old boats). My first ford was an 83 Escort (learned to drive stick shift on that car). My first Ranger was an 87 that was totaled by some lady who thought she didn't have to stop at a red...
I used to work as a supervisor in a home depot tool rental center. If you are going to rent any of their towable equipment, make sure you either have both 2" and 2 5/16" balls for your hitch, or check before you go so you know you can pull the trailer. The Ranger can easily pull the small...
I remember as a kid, no car seats, and we had an 83 Dodge Omni hatchback that my younger sister and I would sit in then back hatch area when we traveled on road trips. You couldn't get away with that now. Yet somehow I am still standing. And I drank out of the garden hose too!!!
I just got my first service done this week at 10K miles and the smile is still going strong! And just in case any of you are wondering, YES I still find myself saying My truck is better than your truck every time I see a Tacoma.
Well let me be the first to welcome you to the group!! I have had my Tremor for almost a year now and still love it every time I get to go for a drive.
Glad to see you already have your damper too!
Most importantly, I am glad you are ok.
Did you at least get some steaks from the cow that murdered your Ranger?
It looks like the impact went up and over the sensors that trigger the airbags. They measure how quickly the front end is being crushed back, and are usually located on the frame...
Very nice choice of truck! I know I love mine. I am a little jealous that you are in CO, lots of great trails out there to take advantage of with that Tremor.
My best friend has a sport trac, and I have never looked at it like it was a modified explorer. It just doesn't look like an explorer with the back end cut off and capped off. The jeep gladiator does look like a modified wrangler to me.
It could have rail damage and be in the repair process. I used to work in a Ford dealership body shop, and we did repairs for vehicles damaged in transit. Usually it is something minor like a scratch or paint damage from wheel sparks. I am not sure if they tell you about it, but you may want...
I spent 10 years working as an advisor in a body shop. Body filler is necessary to smooth out the scratches and prepare the metal for paint. A proper repair will only have a thin skim coat of filler once the metal has been reworked to the proper shape. The fact that they took the time to walk...
