I have seen others talk about Bridgestones coming on their trucks. I thought the OEM tire for the Rangers was Hankook. Did you special order your tires?
I would have thought that they would put the gas tank on the passenger side to somewhat counter balance the weight of the driver.
Sure hope this gets sorted out.
Thanks guys.
Going by what I have learned from these forums I should get my blend date closer to the end of this month. With estimated dealer delivery of 6-23. I figure a couple weeks to transport to NC. Guessing a build date of roughly early June. Looking forward to it.
Just curious, how are you getting your blend dates... from your salesman, or is it showing up on the Ford tracking website? I only have my VIN # still.
@Hounddog409 Took about two weeks for me to get my VIN. Not sure what it took others.
On a side note, sometimes on the tracking website the options you picked show up and other days they do not. Some days it reports my Locking Diff and other days it says Open. It does that for other people...
I'm not much for putting stickers on my vehicles but I think it is a great idea for those who do. Looking forward to seeing how the sticker looks when it is available. May get one just to have, and support the community. :like:
Ugh, sorry to hear that, Pat.
Thanks on the info about dealer stock numbers, Pioneer.
Try not to feel too bad Hounddog, mine says Priority Code: 80, Type: Stock.
Not sure if that means I won't be able to fully track it via the Vehicle Order Tracking site. At least it shows me some info...
Just got an update on my truck. ETA for delivery to dealer is 6-23. No build date or other new info yet.
edit -
Wanted to add a Thank You to the ones who created and maintain the chart of our Rangers being built. Really helps to give an idea of how our orders are progressing.
2003 VW Jetta 1.8T getting a bit long in the tooth and showing signs of it's age. Will be nice to drive something new that I know (hope) should not be getting a random CEL's on a semi frequent basis for a long time :). Tired of routinely replacing coil packs, O2 sensors and other stuff on...
I completely and totally agree. Was only offering reasons why the tire pressures were so high to begin with. Definitely was not trying to defend the dealerships in any way. As much as they make off us customers, proper tire pressure is something they should do.
Regarding over inflated tires... I have heard that the dealerships like to keep the tires over inflated so that if the vehicle sits on the lot for awhile it will have less of a chance of getting flat spots on the tires due to lack of being driven. Same as when the vehicles get transported for...
I take it there is no digital boost gauge feature within the menu settings of the dash? That was more wishful thinking for my upcoming XLT. I can add a physical gauge later or use my Torque phone app while I get used to the feel of the engine and throttle position.
It is possible that Ford...
Hope you enjoy your test drive of the new Ranger. Let us know what you think about it.
I doubt there will be a Ranger Raptor in 2020. Ford has their new Bronco coming out then. Unlikely Ford would want to take the wind out of the sails of either the new Ranger or new Bronco by over egging...
