  1. Vibration from climate control fan

Installed hardware cloth over the open air intake. Assembly grease was required to save my sanity trying to install sheet metal screws at that angle. Note: install it over the inner openings. If it’s installed over the outer openings you have wasted your time. Finally, I sealed the edges...
  2. Vibration from climate control fan

A bunch of reading and I found the cabin air intake. Removal of plastic cowling and wiper arms was required (shut up…..). Even made a wiper arm puller from a sliding barn door hanger. Hind sight is 20/20. If my old eyes had looked a bit closer I would have realized that the cowling was split...
  3. Vibration from climate control fan

First priority is locating points of ingress. Rear cabin vents and cold cabin air intake are all I can find. Rear vents first. Although there was no sign of rodent activity behind the liner, being able to stick a finger through and touch the bed was enough incentive for me to seal them. I...
  4. Vibration from climate control fan

Dismantled the glove box and center console looking for the source of the smell. First pic is from the squirrels gaining cabin access earlier this year: Further into the Center console I got the stronger the smell until I found the source under the emergency brake:

  8. Vibration from climate control fan

Bump. I’m on the road for work this week and got a phone call from the missus. She can’t drive the truck as something has very obviously crawled into the cabin air intake and DIED. So my question remains: Where is the cabin air intake located? I’m assuming it’s on the passenger side firewall...

  17. Vibration from climate control fan

Follow up: I have installed hardware cloth over the engine air intake. Not too pretty but seems to be effective. I have looked for the cabin air intake but no joy. The logistics of sealing the intake from inside the cabin are daunting to say the least. Question: Is there a single point intake...
