Agree, and while we're at it, let's bump it up to a 7 speed dual clutch.
I know this is an old post but apparently the new Ranger Raptor has paddle shifters...
Press the + button on the side of the shifter. Also, once you have the gears displayed you can lock out higher gears by pushing the - button.
Unfortunately you cannot get the gears to display while in sport mode. Pushing + or - will manually shift the gears when in sport mode.
Hope this is helpful.
Yes! Isn't it great? I'm not condoning driving like an idiot but accelerating rapidly every now and again is fun. The first week I had mine I floored it on an on ramp, doing about 25 or 30 mph and the traction control light blinked at me a couple of times. And it was bone dry pavement. I can...
About the remote start:
I regularly use the FordPass app to remote start, more for comfort reasons than anything but I think it's good to let the fluids warm up for a minute, especially the tranny. I don't think you have anything to worry about so long as you're not letting it sit at idle for a...
I'm interested in the FPT. Is it majorly noticeable? Accelerating and shifting? I'm curious about getting one and a lot of people are saying to get a Livernois or 5 star, fair enough, but I'd just get the Ford tune, if anything.
Thanks in advance
I noticed a defect in my paint too. It's hard to see as it is on the hood, towards the middle and close to the windshield. It's like a tiny little pimple or something in the paint. Is this something the dealer will take care of. I have about 10,500 miles on the clock and so far this is the only...
Coming from a 2000 Ranger, at first I was a little surprised how much bigger my 22 is than the 00. Honestly though, it's way easier with this new one because my old one was a manual and that added an extra level of difficulty when parallel parking. But I will say this: when parking nose in, a...
Thank you jflogerzi.
I appreciate the advice. Yes, sport mode is awesome and I've messed around with tow mode too and can appreciate what that mode does as well. I'm ok with being locked into premium fuel, it's all I've ever put in my vehicles. I put premium in my lawnmower even. Call me crazy...
Thanks RANGER_MARC
I'm kind of the same, I guess. I'm sure there are other nice tunes out there but I figure the Ford tune is probably the conservative choice for me. I'm fairly knowledgeable about old school gasoline carburated engines and very knowledgeable about 2 stroke engines from back in...
Thanks for the replies everyone. I didn't realize how inexpensive the aftermarket rear shocks are. I appreciate the input about the installation too but I've sworn off wrenching on cars after I sold my 2000 Ranger, right before I got my 2022. I did all the wrenching on that except for when I...
I have a 2022 super cab FX2. I'm really interested in this. So you only changed out the rears? And it was a massive improvement? I was wondering about upgrading at least my rear shocks and I'm getting excited about this post because you have an FX2 and I'm usually seeing posts about FX4s so I...
Hey pal, I didn't mean to upset you. Sorry I didn't answer your question. I do hope your issue gets fixed. Really. And I do understand how frustrating it can be when something you like isn't performing to your expectations, I get it. In case you haven't noticed by now, this forum is full of...
