I have sign recognition enabled, and I use it. I don't, however, rely solely on it. It's useful when used with common sense. If I'm on a road, didn't see a sign and don't know if the speed limit is 45 or 55; it might tell me. If I'm on the highway and it's saying to go 20, I'm probably not...
I like stickers, but do not like them on the outside of any of my vehicles. I have a decked drawer system on my Ranger, so stickers usually end up on the side of my drawers. Extras usually end up on the shop fridge.
@donsmith Have you taken into account the fact that the heaters remember their previous setting.
The behavior I would expect (though admittedly not tested yet.)
If the passenger seat heater was on when I turned the car off, then I remote start on a cold morning, the seat heater should warm and...
Right!! It does the same to me every time I pull into my driveway. I do wish I could hop into forscan and adjust the delay a bit. Better yet, put it in the fuel economy menu or something.
I like it, it breaks up the blue good and gives it some character. Fact is, a lot of what we do to our trucks is to distinguish them from the other factory Rangers of the same color and options. This does that well with some flair.
I, personally, would love to find some mountain pattern to...
I have a Garmin Mini 2 dashcam. I got it because it was on sale at Best Buy and is really small.
I have the Best Buy total protection service right now because of some other larger purchases I've made, so install was done by them for free.
I'd say video quality is typical for a 1080p dashcam...
Right up there with the thought of giving my health care company a list of my health predispositions, I find the thought of giving my auto insurance company data on my driving habits a potentially bad idea.
Having looked through many threads, I settled on the following as the ones.
Fog Lights and High Beams (BCM), - Bambi mode
Software Engine Sound Disable (ACM) - Fake engine sounds
Panic Activate (BCM) - Requires 2 presses on the remote to active panic
Traffic Sign Recognition (IPC) + Traffic...
For anyone with an iPhone and Apple watch, check out the thread at https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/fordpass-siri-shortcuts.8200/
While this does allow me to unlock or start my car with my phone, it more importantly allows me to do so also with my watch. While I have left my phone in the...
I picked up the Autostop Eliminator last week and had a chance this weekend to install it.
Youtube has several videos that show how to install it without removing the front lower dash. This might work if you have normal or small, somewhat nimble hands. I, on the other hand, with my not so...
You would use a micro2 type fuse. There are other fuse types in the ranger (something like 5+ different types), but micro2 will be the easiest tap to find.
Part shortages naturally make me question if they didn't include struts because of cost savings or because they didn't have them (or needed to prioritize what cars get them.)
Aesthetically, smoked grey marker lights. They really round out my blacked out carbonized gray exterior.
Functionally, the Carlinkit 2.0 wireless CarPlay adapter (though I have to also give props to the wireless charging setup by @DirkM such a great pair)
My wife runs cold and I run hot. I have to change my auto target temp every time she gets in the truck.
Edit: Just to add that the buttons are way more noticeable in the picture than in reality. You can definitely see them, but they don't otherwise stand out in any eye offending manner.
Not exactly braille, but they are textured dots with different patterns. I currently have two of them on my auto and drivers side temp up. Between the dots and muscle memory, I'm starting to get good at adjusting temperature without looking now...
You can also try calling Sirius and asking what they can offer for a 2nd radio. I'm paying a heavily discounted rate for my Ranger because I pay for Music & Entertainment on my wife's car.
