Installed the Roush exhaust today. First it was a very easy install took just over an hour. I painted the exhaust tips black because the truck is black with zero bright work, the Roush tips come polished. From a sound perspective I like it, the clip is only startup and revving, I will work...

No - paint \ clear should be good to 220 degrees

Painted the tips for my Roush exhaust. They only come polished, however my truck is completely blacked out. I used a base \clear in my trucks color code. Install will happen either today or tomorrow.

So the only option with this exhaust are polished tips, my truck is all blacked out with no polished anything so I painted the tips. Used a base \ clear in my truck color.

Agreed I have zero expectations - I want better flow and something that might possibly sound good.

Exhaust arrived - install next week with some sound clips.

It wasn't bad - take your time and line it up before you stick it on. Also, make sure the gaps between the doors is correct otherwise it will rub.

I have the Roush exhaust on my F150 and it sounds great. Now granted making a 4CYL sound like a V8 is not in the cards, however, if anyone can make a 4cyl sound good I think Roush might have a shot at it. So I'm pretty excited to hear it also.

Ordered the Roush Ranger exhaust today. Will post sound clips when I get it installed.

These are the ones by AirDesigns and sold by Ford. Picture doesn't really do them justice, they look great and hopefully will help prevent door dings.

I kept my 2007 F150. I love the ranger but it was purchased more for a commuter vehicle. I still need the bed space of my F150 for the larger payloads.

Over the carpet - there was no issue in doing so.
