  1. Start Stop Feature on the 2.3L Ecoboost

Nope - just the shift cover, no need to do anything else.
  2. Start Stop Feature on the 2.3L Ecoboost

Just saw this post, I did the same thing. Took me 5 min, I could do it again in half the time. Pop the shifter cover off, slowly working around it with a couple flat head screw drivers. I didn't use painters tape, but may be a good idea. Any tape would work, duct or masking. Getting the...
  3. Got my Rough Country leveling kit and Toyo Open Country AT II tires installed.

I think your truck looks great....no concerns about turning offroad or while hitting a bump while suspension is flexed? Looks like it has the potential to rub pretty bad.
  4. Got my Rough Country leveling kit and Toyo Open Country AT II tires installed.

Nice looking truck - hows the clearance between the front bumper / wing and the tire when it's turned all the way? It's gotta be REALLY close....
  5. His name is Steve McQueen

What kind of trimming did you have to do?
  6. His name is Steve McQueen

I'd like to know the answer to this too, inquiring minds wanna know!!
  7. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

Be careful, while the ride may not be effected much, it does alter the handling of the vehicles a bit, particularly so with a load. There is no way you'll be able to haul what the truck was rated for with a leveling kit. I realize most folks don't care, and I haven't in the past either, but...
  8. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

If you sold the OEM tires, since they are in good shape, I'm guessing you could get $300-400 for them.
  9. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

That seems about right, those are 32" x 10", so a bit taller and narrower, there is 3/4" clearance at full lock on the front with stock tires, which would equate to about a 31.5-32" tire. I don't think a taller tire will fit based on my measurements! But some tires don't measure exactly to...
  10. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

I started a thread here to try and aggregate all this: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/tire-size-fitment-master-thread.1680/#post-18599 But to answer your question, without modifying the vehicle, yes you can go slightly taller but width is going to be tricky without a wheel with less...
  11. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

Yeah, considering the spindle assembly / knuckle is so close to the tire, anything wider is going to be very close to it with stock rims.
  12. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

It will give you even more clearance between the spindle assembly, but if it pushes your wheel out further you may run into clearance issues with the fender well and body.
  13. 33x12.50s - Pics!

Yeah - I think that is probably what I'd guess would fit....but until it's tried, it's all conjecture. Some tire don't measure true to their size. If the stock tires are not a 'true' 30.5", then my measurements are somewhat irrelevant. If it were me, I'd probably go with what you are...
  14. Mounting next week!

You may have better luck taking off your spacers depending on where it rubs. You'll probably still have enough room between the tire and the spindle assembly. I'm guessing it rubs the worst on the outer edge of the front tire on the front wing. That wing is going to need to be removed, the...
  15. Media release about next Ford Ranger in Europe

Sounds like the majority of the updates are around fuel economy, safety and comfort. It's interesting that the US-Spec ranger already has the 10 spd trans and FordPass, so we are ahead of the curve when it comes to that. They are confident enough to put the 10 spd behind the diesel in a...
  16. The next generation Ranger info

If I had to wager a guess, it's to get a toe in the market before GM and Toyota completely own it. I can't count how many Tacomas I see on my 15 min commute to work. If Ford wants a piece of that 2.5 years from now with a new rig, they need to start getting market share now and stop losing...
  17. The next generation Ranger info

I was actually kinda betting on them going away from the global ranger, which is what I wanted, so I think it's a bit of a risk to wait. I think the Raptor is cool, but I'm not going to spend $50k+ on a truck, let alone the stupid ADM all the dealers are going to have on them initially (local...
  18. SOLVED: Can't get the back of the rear seat to lock upright

Same problem here - I shoved it HARD and it won't latch. The seat latch mech works just fine when the seat is folded down, no problem there. I put some chalk on the cab mounted d-ring to see where it was hitting the latch mech on the seat, it was hitting the correct spot. It's bottoming out...
  19. Mounting next week!

Those will be awfully close to fitting, what is your plan to get them to fit if you have clearance issues? The reduced offset is going to help....
  20. 33x12.50s - Pics!

So I measured my rig, full lock, clearance between tire edge and steel "wings": Front tire front edge - 3/4" Front tire rear edge - 1-1/2" So the front edge is the limiter, best case scenario with wings attached with some clearance you'll be a smidge less than a true 33", assuming the stock...
