Hey - it never hurts to ask and while it doesn't make the situation any better it does help (hopefully) alleviate the out of pocket expense from you. It's along the lines of people who are pleasantly surprised when they file a complaint against their state's DOT for having a blow out due to a...
I had similar symptoms at primarily low speeds (under 25) but also around 60 as well. TSB 23-2251 helped, but didnāt fully eliminate the problem. I suspect a few more shims would have fully resolved it.
During the last few years this has been more commonplace:

Put on your tin foil hat for this one...
Iām probably wrong, but donāt Tremors have a single piece drive shaft? If so - the TSB did *not* upgrade the driveshaft (in my instance) to a single piece from a two piece.
But Iāve since traded in the Ranger because of this and other issues and therefore donāt care, so good luck! ?
By no means am I a paintless dent repair expert, but the fact it looks like itās on a seam and that part of the body I would imagine is not easy to access from the inside, makes this an incident where Iād hold the party at fault to their word. Seems like it would be an expensive repair in any...
Sold the Ranger so I donāt have a need for the cargo net I bought last year. Used twice, more or less ānew.ā
Goes for $65 new, but the first person to reach out gets it for free, Iāll even cover shipping via Priority Mail from USPS.
Link to the part in the Ford catalog...
Starting at $4k for the Mustang and $4.5k for the Bronco makes it at the higher end of its competition. For that kind of money you could get a beater that has four wheels.

Well, fingers crossed the tweaks they did for the 6th gen means itās no longer an issue. And if it is, thatās what warranties are for. ? Really, you roll the dice with most new-er cars these days. Itās just about which ones are less problematic and the right fit for your needs.
Drove it to the local Honda dealer and traded for a new CRV. Itāll be my third Honda in as many years and I fully intend on running into the ground with many hundreds of thousands of miles as I did with others before it.
Originally was waiting for a new hybrid Mav AWD, but for the same/less...
I have a very similar noise on my 2.3. Doesnāt last nearly as long, but is present any time I feather the gas. Iāve wrote it off as ānormalā at this point, but am curious if maybe the cause is the same.
Good on Toyota for owning the issue and recognizing itās important to have happy customers so they buy from you again in the future. I wish more companies would proactively do stuff like this.
Separately, yes - $32k for a motor replacement in a non-commercial vehicle does seem high. I had our...
I'd equate it to getting in and out of an Escape; no awkward hop into the cab is needed. And like a few others have said, it is a factor in why I'm switching.
Sure, you could bolt on some steps, but if someone already has mobility issues I would imagine going up and down stairs at home, to get...
The most bulletproof motor Iāve had in any vehicle - spanning Ford, Chevy, Audi, Jeep, Subaru, Honda. Yeah it was a unibody SUV, but I could abuse the hell out of it and it would just keep chugging along.
They look small, but the interior dimensions are pretty close to a Ranger. I guess if you like sitting higher, then yes - the Ranger wins in this category.
I donāt tow but once in a blue moon. Payload is more important to me and to this point, a Mav could have handled everything Iāve tasked the Ranger to do.
100% would take the garbage fuel economy, but amazing relatability of the 4.0 L put in XJs, and other Jeeps. Newer motors seem to be trying to hard to be something they arenāt.
*starts looking for used XJs on Autotrader* ?
