Where did you guys buy your Raptor style grilles from? I see a number of sources. Just wondering which is a good quality with easy installation and good fitment. Did they include the letters, and are the letters removable for painting? My truck is due in about two weeks and I'm anxious to get...
Anytime one alters the stance of a vehicle, headlights go out of adjustment. It depends on the new orientation of the vehicle. Subtle changes won't make a big difference. As for the scanners, I'd like to know that also because I will be lifting my new truck when it gets here. I would think...
If I'm not wrong, the Ford leveling package is a simple lift and doesn't increase wheel travel, which is what I am really after. I currently have a 4Runner with an Icon suspension that I put on, and the extra travel is very beneficial off the road.
Phil, may I ask a question of you? In your opinion what would the safest form of lift be? I see many options, but they can be narrowed down to a few types: Kits that incorporate a different steering knuckle to add the lift, toppers for the shocks to raise the truck, and the coil over...
That's my concern. I was reading the installation directions for some of the lift kits out there that include the diff drop. Looks like a complicated and large amount of work. Makes you wonder how the 6" lifts get away with it
Thanks for the pics. I really didn't want to mount the antenna to the hood. Maybe I'll build a rear rack and mount it there. I appreciate the info on how hard it was to run wires.
I have a question for those running the Icon shocks and uca's. Is there a need to drop the front diff with this setup? I see some kits that include diff drops. I plan on doing a 3.5" lift and maybe some new spring hangers in the rear.
The wheel size won't matter. 17" and 18" both clear the calipers. What DOES matter when choosing new wheels is the backspacing. That has to be correct in order for the wheels to clear suspension parts. Some people use wheel spacers to add clearance, but in my opinion the proper wheel with the...
Where did you read that? I'd be interested. I was thinking about the Icon 0-3.5" Stage 2 kit, but it only adds a longer rear shock. To adjust rear ride height a spacer is needed. I currently run the same kit (diferent part numbers of course) on my Toyota 4Runner, which I overland. The Icons...
What ham radio and where/how did you mount it? Where did you put the antenna? I have a Yaesu FTM-100/DR in my 4Runner that will be going into the Ranger. If you have any pics I'd love to see them
FJSteven, was that truck at San Tan Ford? I saw one there a few weeks back. My granddaughter needed service work done on her car and I went with her and walked around. That's when I saw it. The white one is gone and they have a black one and a ADD blue one there now. That white truck is...
