Built out the wood rack today. Main use for this is going to pick up sheet goods, creating a level platform so that I can lay the sheet goods flat and strap them down to the bed so they dont move. Pretty simple build. I bought a couple 2x8s and notched them out so that they interlock into...
There are a lot of different sources out there. Do a search on Ebay and you will find a bit, same with amazon. I just ordered a pair for mine from https://www.bdtrims.com/
Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, seeing other install videos and horror stories had me second guessing doing the install myself. But seeing your video just makes sense. And yeah reusing the bolts now makes complete sense. I was so focused on the technique i completely over looked that those...
Hey josh, hope you dont mind me resurrecting this part of your build. Thanks for the doing the install video btw! Quick question for you, I have a 2.5 rough country level waiting to be installed when i have time and im doing some research on the install and finding a bunch of horror stories of...
A few updates for today. Installed the Truxedo Pro X15 bed cover. Simple install, in hindsight i should have waited to install the bed rug until after the bed cover, as i had to peel back some areas of the bedrug to screw in some brackets, but all in all in looks great. Love the fitment and...
The most exciting part to me is the dash top six switch set up they have on it. I hope that is made available to retrofit on older models, looks very clean to me
This is the same exact reason i want to wire it like this. The rough country LEDs are only 18w a side, so I "think" it shouldnt be too much power being pulled through the fog light wiring if i just cut out the relay and wired directly into the fogs. But powering the LEDs through the battery just...
These diagrams make MUCH more sense. This is exactly what i was looking for. So I am basically converting the included relay from a ground trigger to a positive trigger with the oem fog lights (and oem switch) supplying the positive trigger.
Now to just wait for a few more parts to come in so...
Sweet! Thats what i was thinking and made sense to me that would work, but you know, im nervous with stuff like this. Gonna order the parts and see how it works, ill probably do a write up once i do with the results.
Appreciate the help.
How would the h11 pigtail work? Just make my own Y harness out of one? And that would wire into the switch in the diagrram and become the new "switch"?
And i kicked around having the foglights just power everything, but me being me and paranoid, I think i will just stick to powering them...
Doing some research on relays. So this kit already comes with an integrated relay. In this case, would i take the switch side of the relay, cut that off, and wire directly into the power wires coming out the back of one the foglights? The (high) power current being sent to the foglights would...
Still new to the ranger, hopefully you guys can help me with this question. I think i am overthinking it but just trying to be cautious with the new truck. I ordered the rough country dual 6 in LED light bar to install into the front bumper. Overall the kit is great and the install looks...
Got the BedRug installed today. Real simple install and fits great. Love the look of it and the functionality, will definitely save my knees in the future.
Figured i would start a build thread with all the parts I have been ordering lately. Not even 300 miles on the odometer and already have planning out my build.
Here are the details on the truck

Good eye! Forgot to put this in my original post. The first thing I did before even driving off the lot was rip that antenna off, i hated the look. Have the craven speed 2 in stubby on order as well.
