Anyone else have 275/70r18's? Saw Ironmans post and just want to see other trucks with that size. Debating if it's too much or if it looks fine. (I do plan to flex offroad though so it will likely rub good)
When I worked at Subaru it was interesting. If it was a low milage blown engine we had to get data. Anything over 50k was usually replaced without question. And if the customer blew the second engine we would get data. If the boost pressure was over spec or if there was any other details...
Looking at the tread, they look decent for snow with the Sipes. One thing to know is that any real offroad tires suck in winter. They may be fine for the first few years but they will get worse and worse even if snowflake rated. I am going to use my winters for winter, but I'll get some hybrid...
Ended up finding the lift $200 cheaper through a local distributor so I'll have it in a couple months. Ome it is. And if it has too much rake I can throw in a .5" strut spacer in the front.
Hey guys, I'm looking at tires since I'm close to pulling the trigger on a lift. I've settled for 275/70r18. And I was hoping we could turn this into a thread of what tires people have and their review of them!
Cheers!
Anyone in Western Canada should check out sublime surfacing. They are in a town close to me and I know a few people who love the work they do in cleaning and sealing. Their instagram really shows the difference. I'll have to go to them soon when I gather some change together
May sound funny to you but it's normal in Canada to wash the underside. Some carwashes have an under cartage spray when you drive in and the fancy ones have a long 90° hand wand with wheels just for the underside. Of vehicles.
Ah, that would be nice, but I have no estimate on how long I would have to wait. I can't find anything about those for rangers being worked on. Also I was wrong on my shipping estimate. It was $483.10 USD plus duty and GST
This is something I have thought about. I have heard of rusting issues on jeep OME. And it gets very salty up here. I got a quote for shipping and it's $300 plus duty and tax.
It lifts 3.5" in the front and 1" in the rear. OME is a lift that doesn't completely level and leaves some rake. You can always get more rake with a block or shackle.
Having discussed this with friends in the offroad community, I decided to get the OME system. But alas, not available in Canada. Stage 3 has a shipping quote request system but they have never gotten back to me. Might have to use a redirect shipping company to hotshot it across the boarder.
Seriously... I spend about 1.3 hours for a oil change and tire rotational with a 64 point photo inspection. When I worked at the dealer it was 20-30 min and no one checks anything really. I looked at some fluids, top up washer fluid, check endlinks and struts and lights. That's it. Now at an...
