I may have pulled the trigger to early. Checked my truck this morning didn't run all night. Oil level slightly above second dot and doesnt smell like fuel. Really hoping I was wrong and that nothing is wrong with the truck.

This is what my dip stick looks like. Looks too high to me. Reeks of fuel too.

Called the Ford complaint department. Hopefully they will help me get the ball rolling.

I wish it was a non issue. But I can't afford to trade my truck whenever I want. I bought this truck to last me for a while. And to know that I spent as much as I did on this truck and I have this problem. It upsets me.

Tell that to the dealership

Sent mine to Ford today. I was told that there's a baffle that retains the gas smell if you check it right after you drive. I was told I had to wait 15 mins and then check it. They said didn't smell anything out of the norm and the oil levels are normal.

Bringing it to the dealer this Thursday.

I understand where you're coming from. But also take in consideration that your truck is going to be sitting a lot higher off the ground than both the fusion and the monte carlo.

I think the FX2 is more for pre-running (High Speed Off roading) and the FX4 is made more for off roading (OverLanding). So I can understand why they went without all the skid plates.
