I am surprised that i have not seen a bed tool box for the Ranger. Something that is either narrow and tight against the cab or shallow so it floats above the bed.
Here is a photo of how this company adds a scoop on a jeep JL and routes the air to the airbox with an underhood attachment. Take note of the drain.

I would rather have an OEM modified hood than a fiberglass hood. Paint cost for the scoop to match could be a deterrent. Maybe offering a paint service would make this more palatable.
I like the idea of vents over scoop. But a scoop would be cool if there was an underside of the hood piece that made a sealed connection to the factory airbox. Kinda like a scoop on top and a snorkel on the underside.

My sister had one. It was nice stock. A bunch of cheap aftermarket parts put on it made it less nice... I come from the Jeep background so I can appreciate them. If I were to get one, it would be the diesel option.
