Mine was checked when I bought the car on 12/31/19. Unfortunately, the dealer must not have entered a record of it and now I’m getting recall letters to have it checked. I don’t want to have to take it back in just to get the recall flag cleared.
Well, warm weather is here and since it’s been 20 years since we did anything to the yard I got 1/2 yard of sand/dirt to fill it in with. Guess my new truck is now a work truck, lol!
I went to the dealer today and he pulled up the records on my Ranger. It does show I have the balance of my bumper to bumper warranty (36-7 mos) plus a 42 mo/42,000 mi warranty thru Ford premiumcare Svc plan with roadside assistance.
The salesman didn’t tell me this and all this could’ve been...
I think so too. I plan to ask that those 7 months be added back to my warranty. When I called Ford about why I was missing 7 months of warranty they said I would have to talk to the dealer about getting it changed.
Thanks everyone for your input!
Interesting, my Sirius XM trial is 6 months and it started when I bought the car. I didn’t lose any of that.
I did find out that the truck was untitled when I bought it so considered new.
I figure the discount I got was $4,550, not related to rebates at the time. I can’t look at the paperwork until tomorrow, to check if there’s an in service date.listed.
If it did qualify as a FCTP program vehicle then maybe I should bring that up? I’m not even sure they would’ve brought up the...
So I bought a 2019 Ranger the end of December. On the test drive I saw that it already had 2200 miles on it. They explained it had been used as a loaner car by the dealer. I was told it lessened my 36,000 mile warranty by those 2200 miles, which is why they gave me an extra discount on the...
This isn’t exactly the same thing, but has anyone had the auto start/stop engage when you stop but the engine doesn’t restart when you take your foot off the brake? I haven’t yet, but when I was doing a test drive at the dealer the salesman said that if that ever happened to just turn the key...
I just ordered this at the local Ford dealer. He couldn’t find any area dealers with one in stock so it looks like it’ll be a few weeks before I get it. I’m tired of stuff sliding around in the back on the spray in bedliner. This way I can take it out if I need to.
Yes! I really miss the oil pressure gauge and the amp gauge I had in my last truck. That oil pressure gauge saved me some potential engine repairs...it started reading low oil pressure so I had it checked out. Turned out the sending unit was going bad, and I luckily caught it by watching my gauges.
Okay, yea, there is a rubber flap but it ends up underneath since they tell you to close the cover latches, then close the tailgate. Just as a side note, we lost the two weather seals that go on the rail end caps at the tailgate. TruXedo graciously send us replacements and we haven’t had any...
Nice! Did any of you go to one of the drive events Ford sponsored last year before the Ranger came out? We went to one and got to test drive a Ranger. They gave these out at the event...
I replaced a 2012 Chevy Avalanche. I kept hoping that Chevy would bring the Avalanche back, but (sigh) I had to give up waiting. Loved the ability to drop the midgate and even remove the back window to haul big things. Even the roof rack came in handy for hauling our 14.5’ kayak. This Ranger is...
Actually, my Avalanche had this setup...bottom seat flipped forward and seat back folded down. Offered a lot of back seat storage area inside the cab without worrying about the leather seats. I know they did this so the midgate could be lowered but it would still work well in a regular truck.
