Height...don't know. My coilovers are currently with Saint's Offroad in Glendora. I am having them swap my springs. Going from 550 to 650 lbs springs to accommodate for the bumper and winch. Once those are done and I bolt them back on the truck I can get measurements for you.
Right now my...
Thanks! The Ranger handles well on anything that can be done on 33's. High speed desert runs to tight technical sections to moderate rock crawling are not much of a challenge. Gearing, Tires and Clearance. That's all that's needed. I've rarely needed to use the rear locker.
The guy that...
UCA's do their job however, they did not come with a cap for the ball joint. I did see them available for purchase much later. It appears to be the same UCA as the tubular Icon ones. In fact the bracketry is branded with the Icon logo. I don't know if that's because my set was one of the first...
Actually I just ordered heavier duty springs to accommodate for the ARB bumper and winch. I have the Fox 2.5's. I f end up swapping suspension at some point I am leaning towards the Old Man Emu setup as it's really the only option made for added weight
I am running 285/70 17 but may go up to 285/75 17 at some point. 33" to 34" while keeping the same width. Minor difference but does help when offroad.
Crash bars were removed. Had to in order to fit larger tires. I feel better about it having that huge bumper up front. I know that is a highly...
BTW, here's a link to the Ranger in action at last years Overland Expo West trip. This is the Broken Arrow trail in Sedona located pretty close to the event. I don't do any filming. I just have fun. This is my friend's channel. The Ranger is in several of the videos. I drive like a Jack Ass in...
I need to take more pics of my setup. I keep tweaking it for no other reason than to make it just a smidge better. I have a table mounted to the roof of the Smartcap that helps a lot. I also use the Milwaukee Packout boxes and have mounted their base plates to the plywood to keep things in place...
Thanks Frank! I need to upload some pictures soon. The Truck looks entirely different from my last post. The tent has been mounted to the Smartcap for months and I have rearranged the UpTopOverland rack to better suit my needs. The biggest change is I have installed a behemoth front bumper. It's...
I just programmed it in FORSCAN. Is no one using that anymore? Primary functions for me is to eliminate Auto Start/Stop and calibrate tire size for speedo and milage.
Just take your rig offroad. Mine settled in very quickly. Nothing beats up suspension like hauling butt over some washboard or heavy articulation. I had 200 - 400lbs of gear in the bed and my OME leaf pack settled in after a couple of weeks with some hard offroading. I suspect that OME is...
Dave, you have a nice setup there. To the OP, I say the most important part of a fridge is the power supply that you are running. I have a Dometic CFX3 35 running off a Goal Zero 500x 48ah battery. The GZ is connected to a switched 12v outlet and a 100 watt Renogy solar panel mounted to my roof...
I'm leaning towards the Center Console Safe. Out here in Commiefornia it's not a good idea to have one visible. I do need some type of organization so I may mount one of those magnetic doohickies in the box to hold the pew pew in place. That or add foam but I don't want to take up too much room...
I have the Adventure model (EVOa) It comes with MOLLE panels for the doors. The struts can hold a good amount of weight. I have lots of pouches and equipment mounted to the panels. I say that in itself is a huge benefit over the traditional windows on a fiberglass cap.
The additional components...
While technically being under the tow rating, it is not recommended to push your Ranger that hard. I would not tow over 3,500 on a regular basis. 5,000 maybe if it's just once in awhile
I have OME leaf springs to help with weight and ride quality. I think the issue will be the engine when climbing.
