The 2.7 V6 is a late availability for the 2023 year....I could definitely see a Tremor package in 2024 as a MY 2025 that would slot in under the Raptor .... probably lariat and XLT (tremor pkg) get option of the V6 all others retain the 2.3
It's interesting.....but I think I'm going to hang on...
Auto climate control and manual control HVAC are both equally susceptible...my '19 Scab was manual
It's not motors or electrical persay....the HVAC box that contains the blower motor and has the blend doors on its sides becomes warped due to a manufacturing issue and usually renders the blend...
It depends I suppose .... everyone is different...for my own experience...it looks like I could get a moderate extended ford warranty from say granger for about $2k cdn give or take a bit....if I had to repair out of pocket ...I think the parts were only a couple hundred but the labor was 1.5...
Yep I hear ya,
I have a general interest in the tune....but I'm more interested in maximizing my warranty coverage...I've been looking at extended warranty so I guess it would be silly to purchase that and then get the tune to void it
I guess I should also throw this out there to be clear....the remaining balance of the 5yr / 60000 mi powertrain warranty continues on though correct? The tune part# is the only thing that expires in the 3yr window correct? Or does the addition of the tune decrease and replaces the original...
Just a quick question on the warranty on the FPT
On a new truck purchase....in Canadian mileage I have 3yr / 60,000km bumper to bumper and 5yr / 100,000km powertrain warranty
The FPT is 3 yr / 36,000 mile (60,000) whichever comes first is that off the balance of trucks own warranty or is that...
Yes, sorry I didn't update quick enough...your affected build dates are correct.
I don't have extended warranty either...but I am looking into the future here shortly as I rather enjoy my Tremor and really can't afford anything more at this point.
If it makes you feel any better with regards...
*Edit* 2019-2020 Rangers built on or before July 30, 2020
I'm sure there are a few anomalies out there....but it is a prevalent problem.
As others say the extended warranty would pay for itself just with this one replacement IF needed
Being October I think you should be fine...I do believe...
Right....outside of having a deep wallet....it will be up to the people to choose..
Incoming Ranger Raptor has a towing capacity of 5500 lbs vs 7500 for standard
For some 5500 is plenty enough...on the other hand you shell out that kind of money and you lose out 2000lbs even with having 100hp...
I would like a PHEV as much as the next person but literally concessions will need to be made....we're talking rangers here but also can lump Maverick into this discussion.
With regards to pickup trucks in general but as it pertains to "Power boost" hybrid (yes I know we're talking about PHEV's...
It's a well known issue and plagues 2019-2020(Q2) models
My understanding is the revised part (HVAC assembly case) does correct the issue. Big job...complete dash removal ...a day maybe a day and a half job
Happened with my 2019 Scab and was addressed under warranty...revised part caused no...
It definitely could be...usually the window sticker will reference mirror glass / heat....mine definitely did not come with heated mirrors....but I do have rear slider window with defrost....it's such a disappointment....even the 6g ranger coming as far as I know heated mirrors are only...
I was wondering with these SUMA mirrors with my '21 Tremor 301a
Even though I could purchase the appropriate glass I would still probably need to run that 2 wire solution to the fuse for the rear window defroster I'd assume?
I am to believe that suma mirrors for the ranger that have heat are only direct replacement glass for trucks that already had heat as a factory option correct?
I still will never understand even now once again with the 6G based on a quick glance at the 2024 order guide PDF....only the Lariat again will have side mirrors that are heated....the XL and XLT can have powered mirrors and possible folding option on XLT and BLIS but no heated glass option...
Regarding the Ranger Raptor.....word of caution....as everyone speculates with regards to any coming model for any brand....I'd assume availability of the Ranger Raptor will be fairly limited and limiting that even further will probably be the price of it....some people will get their hands on...
Although I have no information to back my opinion up....I just don't see this bodywork (style) making it as a NA model for the 6g.
If you catch up on a few other articles on Ford Authority's website you'll see that Ford has been testing models in Michigan that are/have been exclusive to the...
